Good morning. To anyone I have not spoken with previously, my name is William T. Spears.

I am looking to speak with anyone familiar with a Mister Johann Faust. I have been informed that he has numerous acquaintances taking residence in The Villa. While I am mainly interested in speaking with those brought here from the same home world as he, anyone who has met Mister Faust here in Vatheon City and considers themselves to be on either good or bad terms with him is urged to come forward, as well.

My hope is to gain insight on his background and personality, as at the moment, my file on him is inexcusably blank.

Oh yes, he's absolutely terrible about that. I can't even tell you the number of souls he's damned to hell by tempting them with vices. Booze, sex, you name it, and he indulges in it. If you're in his presence for too long you're bound to pick up a bad habit or two.

That depends on how you define 'demon.'

[Yes, Mephisto is a demon. But Shiro also knows why Mephisto isn't always forthcoming with that information, and he can respect that. Sorry William, you won't get a clear answer about that.]

If he possesses the capability to consume mortal souls, then I would say that is enough to classify him as a demon.

I can't say I've ever seen him consume a mortal soul.

Though I'm curious, why are you asking about him?

My subordinate, Grell Sutcliff, has become romantically involved with him. He is an extremely unstable individual with violent tendencies, and to pair him up with someone such as Johann Faust could prove to be very dangerous for the entire city.

Sutcliff has also had an affinity for demons in the past, a trait which I find particularly revolting.

Woah wait back up there a moment: They're dating? As in, committed to each other, holding hands, spooning, all that stuff?

I did not care to ask the specifics of their romantic interactions. But as far as I know, they are seeing one another.

He has trouble with the commitment part.

[ And for some reason, this seems to bother William, as well. I mean that should be a good thing, right? No commitment means the relationship falls apart. But it also means a very, very unhappy Grell. ]

He is obviously manipulating Sutcliff for some sort of personal gain.

Probably. If this 'Sutcliff' is lucky, then all he'll want is sex.

Honestly. That was a bit more information than I was hoping to receive.
