[A pause as he makes sure the voice function is what he actually turned on. His voice is a little soft and the usual sarcastic tone is missing.]

I'm not sure how many..worlds have this but...Happy Father's Day to past, present or future dad's.

... oh, wait. I've heard of that. It's not a public holiday where I'm from. Is that today?

Yeah. I kinda figured it might not be really well known.

I kinda know it? But we didn't really celebrate it, and it'd probably be weird to start now.

My dad is here in Vatheon, though... so... I'm glad for that, at least?

Even just one would make me happy. Being in a different world, one familiar thing always helps.

My father doesn't give a damn, but di immortales, my sons got me into the habit whether I liked it or not.

I would assume the breakfast in bed was their mother's idea. But that was before they got older and-- [he breaks off. before one of them was killed in a stupid war] I don't feel like talking about this anymore.

[Really, he didn't mind talking about his kids. Mr. D was damn proud of his kids. But death was hard to deal with, even for a god. He hoped the remaining twin was doing okay without his father around.]

I've only just arrived. This place is a lot more [what's a polite way to phrase it] wet than I'm used to.

It was a lot more wet a few weeks ago.

Me? Uhm...geez...I dunno, about seven months? Maybe eight...I was sent home for a bit.

So I've heard. I'm hoping such a state can be avoided in the near future. I'm not known for seafaring. That is more my uncle's specialty. [he's had a few bad experiences on seas with ships and the like, but at least he's not showing reluctance to talk about this... unlike talking about his kids]

Sent home? So there is a way out somehow?

Uh...all I can say is. Get used to the fish; that's the most seafaring I had to do until the whole great flood thing.

Fish are overrated, but I suppose there are worse places to be trapped with no hope of escape.

It will take some setting used to. It's good to hear someone remembering the traditions from back home.

You could, though I'm not sure how much it would count. I adopted my boys, we're not related by blood.

[He doesn't particularly care about that little detail, Rin and Yukio will be his boys forever. But where he comes from bloodlines are a Really Important Thing and he's not sure if this Father's Day thing is only about blood relations or not.]

That has absolutely nothing to do with being a Dad. You raised them, yelled at them and congratulated them. Makes you their pop.
