[It's been quite some time since the Head Nurse has terrorized graced Vatheon with her presence. She's been hard at work figuring out just what they did to fix the coral, and she's found out some very interesting things.]
Good morning, Vatheonites! It has been quite some time, hasn't it? And you have been terribly busy. We have a couple things to address.
Firstly, it was quite an ingenious solution you thought up for the coral, I am impressed. Who was it that thought it up, hmm? If you come forward, we might let you have an up close look at our facilities. I know you've been itching to get a look at them for awhile now.
Secondly, it seems that the Head Priestess lost her life in the commotion of fixing the coral. It's really quite a shame, but we didn't get to her in time to bring her back, so I'm afraid she's gone permanently.
[She doesn't seem to think it's a shame at all. In fact, she's smiling wider than ever.]
I do hope we can prevent such a tragedy again. You've all been behaving yourselves so nicely and not creating extra work for us. It would be very... unfortunate if that were to change.

[Someone had best warn Station Master to move the safe zone from that storage building soon, because her interest is on the island now. He mentioned it.]
video
Back then, I imagine your surveillance was at 100%.

He's right that she's not always subtle, but it still irritates her that he's undermining her right on her own post. She expects them all to scurry about, of course, but plotting right in front of her...
She's not smiling.]
If you expect me to overlook such blatant maneuvers, I'm going to want some names in return.
video
I expected you to overlook them because you seemed certain that there was nothing we could do anyway.
What guarantee will I get that, if I give you these names, you will not do anything violent or non-consensual to them? For example, violence, manipulating their minds or memories, et cetera...

[She's not trying to put on a strong front, either. Her anger is mostly over the offense. She knows that this troll is playing games with her, and she doesn't mind the games. She does mind if he's going to make his moves in front of her, though.]
None of you will be physically harmed. I would certainly be manipulating your memories, though. It wouldn't do for you to know where we are.
[A look inside, that's all he'll get.]
video
So. For this visit, I want to be able to record it and send the data back to Vatheon- untouched by any one of you, or anyone who would work for you. Also, only touching our memories of how to get to where you are, but nothing else.
It's simply a precaution to make us feel more at ease. Would you agree to those terms?

[Alright, then. This is as good as he's going to get, and this is too good an opportunity to pass up. Darkleer only hopes this doesn't backfire on him, or drag anyone he cares about into danger...]
Very well then. I'm sure that, intelligent woman that you are, Head Nurse, you've picked up that I was involved as one of the main leaders of that little project. The other individual would be Miss Washu- I'm sure you know her, or have the information available at your fingertips.
Video
Of course, there was the concern of repercussions and potential memory loss outside of the promised scope, but that was a risk he was willing to take. Especially to protect the identities of the people who were actually responsible on top of any new information gained.
When he made his own response it was with a paid-back tone and an easy smirk.]
Good day, my lady. Considering the conversation you're having with my friend there, I see it's a fitting time to step forward myself. I also had a hand in our lovely little conspiracy.

[A sigh.]
I had been trying to keep you out of it, Johnny... Sola is going to be quite displeased with me if I let anything happen to you.
Sometime this evening works well enough for me, Head Nurse. I shall simply have to contact Miss Washu, I'm sure she will want to collaborate with you on everything.
Video
Yes, but how can I sit back and let you two have all of the fun? Besides, as our lovely host has promised, no harm shall come to us, isn't that right?
I appreciate your consideration, my lady, this evening works for me as well.
Video
[She'll have to find someone first, of course...]
ACTION!
[They would need every advantage they could get, after all, including help. At least he seemed like he could lie. They would need that if they wanted to fool the Head Nurse.]
[When he arrives on the island, he's decked out in his fine Archeradicator armor, hair pulled back. His bow isn't out yet- hopefully the Nurse will keep to her words. But still... Best to be prepared, and he's put away more than a few things in his sylladex. He has a companion, too- a large pure white bird, a raptor of some sort, who looks over things with a critical eye. Just in case.]
[He holds himself up properly, hands folded behind his back, and waits for everyone to settle.]
ACTION!
Besides, it was such a nice evening out. So, Darkleer didn't have to wait long for her to show up though he did get a very amused look from the petite scientist. Unlike her taller counterpart, Washu opted to dress how she usually dresses. No apparent tricks. Just, one cute little child genius ready for a little "field trip".]
Relax Little Darkleer, you might scare off our host.
ACTION!
A swarm of bats circles the two already gathered before coming together to meld into the vampire who looked entirely comfortable with the situation, as though they were going out to dinner instead of planning a bit of potentially dangerous reconnaissance.]
Good evening, my friends.
[Even though he'd never spoken to the pink-haired girl, he greeted her with the same warm smile he might give an old friend. He was in full Professional Liar mode.]

[The Head Nurse walks out toward them from the direction of the old labs with a dazed looking man in tow. People who were particularly active during the last rpg curse would likely recognize him as the baker. He seems perfectly happy to just follow the nurse, and like most locals, looks like he doesn't have a care in the world.
For her part, the Head Nurse appears unarmed. She's dressed the same as always in a crisp white uniform without a single hair out of place. How she plans to get them to their destination remains a mystery for the moment.]
I really must congratulate you on your ingenuity with altering the markings present on your bodies to charge the coral again. Which one of you thought of it?
no subject
[Really, it seems like the Head Nurse does things the other way around. She's quite a woman by Alternian standards. Darkleer turns his attention to the bats which arrive, nodding politely to Johnny as he manifests.]
Johnny. It's good to see you.
[That's honest, too.]
[When he sees the Head Nurse, he nods politely to her as well, although his glance is suspicious at the man she has with her. Just what is this about, then...?]
I'm afraid I cannot be credited with that particular aspect of our project. Johnny and Washu can be, however. I'm quite fortunate to know them, really.

Lying was as simple as half truths or omitting the truth in general. All things Washu was rather good at.]
The idea was a simple one once you think about it. Maybe it's a good thing you decided to kidnap one of the greatest scientific geniuses in the known universe. Otherwise, who knows how the disaster would have ended.
no subject
Admittedly, the science behind it is a bit beyond me, but from an archetypical and artistic sense, it was a clear enough concept.
The arts have always been more my style than the sciences, that's where my comrades come in.

[Head Nurse smiles sweetly, then gestures to the man with her. He rolls his sleeve up to reveal a marking, just the same as theirs.]
Well, before we get going I would like to be sure that you've included all the important members of your project here. Would you turn this man's marking back to the way it was originally? We have already altered it to match yours, and changing it back won't teach us anything new.
[Nothing new at all - except if they're telling the truth, which she is quite intent on finding out.]
no subject
[Darkleer's expression remains the same as ever, even as he feels as though his heart is all the louder in his ears. He stays calm.]
Hm, I suppose if you can remember the original design, Miss Washu, Johnny..?
no subject
Is that all you want us to do? The concept was simple enough. The power conduit between the inhabitants of the bubble and the coral fell into disrepair. You really should have kept a better eye on your experiment. Every scientist knows that the moment there is a fluctuation in any variable that it should be checked and corrected immediately.
The fix came in figuring out how to re-sync the link between us and the coral. In order to do that, we had to experiment. I admit I conducted most of them on myself. It pays to be a scientist with over 20,000 years of experience in matters like this.
Not that you care, do you? I am also afraid that since the realignment has already taken place on your little puppet, it can't be reversed back to what it was. If I did, it may damage the coral again and none of us would dare risk the people residing in the bubble again just to satisfy your paranoia.
If you really must know our order of involvement, Darkleer organized the people, I did the experiments and Johnny was my assistant. It was his idea for the new design. I just used it when I confirmed it worked.

He stepped closer to the man and put his hand under the arm the mark was on, as if inspecting it.]
Even beyond the potential risk changing it back would pose, a risk I assure you none of us would be willing to take, these markings are not like a pencil sketch; you can't just pull out an eraser and do what you want with it.
As it's been described before, it's more like a tattoo, adding more ink is easy enough, but taking away is practically impossible and highly damaging.
[He turned a saccharine smile to the nurse.]
Needlessly damaging, as a matter of fact. I wouldn't put his man through that willingly. Surely you can think of something less dangerous and more humane to assuage your...yes, 'paranoia' seems to be a fitting word for it.
