[It's been quite some time since the Head Nurse has terrorized graced Vatheon with her presence. She's been hard at work figuring out just what they did to fix the coral, and she's found out some very interesting things.]
Good morning, Vatheonites! It has been quite some time, hasn't it? And you have been terribly busy. We have a couple things to address.
Firstly, it was quite an ingenious solution you thought up for the coral, I am impressed. Who was it that thought it up, hmm? If you come forward, we might let you have an up close look at our facilities. I know you've been itching to get a look at them for awhile now.
Secondly, it seems that the Head Priestess lost her life in the commotion of fixing the coral. It's really quite a shame, but we didn't get to her in time to bring her back, so I'm afraid she's gone permanently.
[She doesn't seem to think it's a shame at all. In fact, she's smiling wider than ever.]
I do hope we can prevent such a tragedy again. You've all been behaving yourselves so nicely and not creating extra work for us. It would be very... unfortunate if that were to change.

As for the Head Nurse, she looks from them to the mark primly, taking out a headset of some sort.]
How is the synchronization rate?
[Without any input from the nurse herself the mark glows briefly. At first it's dim, making it seem that what Washu did might hold - but as their tech continues its work, it pushes through and glows properly again.
She tucks away the headset and smiles.]
Very clever. Not quite clever enough, I'm afraid. Would you like to tell me who else was involved, or shall I head back?

[He watches the little experiment passively, hoping it works- and hiding his disappointment well when it doesn't.]
You are a very difficult woman to convince, Head Nurse.
[A statement that could go either way. It's in bad Alternian taste to concede so bluntly to a lie after all.]

Washu's attentioned turned back to the head nurse and she contemplated something for a few moments.]
It must really irk you that there's something you don't know. I also wonder just how thorough your research on us actually is.
no subject
How disappointing it must be to ask us for help with something simply due to your own short-comings and neglect.
[His smile was close to slipping into a smirk as his arms crossed in front of him.]
If you're displeased with the answer you've been given and yet are willing to simply turn back, it must not be all that important to you. That said, you'll find no other alternatives here, my dear lady.
[Like hell was he going to give up C and he didn't think the other two were likely to spill either.]
no subject
I think you will find that my research is thorough enough. It seems you all will require a reminder of who you are dealing with here. For now, though, feel free to scurry off and make new plans. Maybe I'll be feeling neglectful and won't notice.
[Turning briskly, she heads back in the direction of the old labs. The baker simply stays where he is, showing little reaction other than to offer them all towels with a smile.]
no subject
That would be quite appreciated. Have a good night, Head Nurse.
[He accepts a towel thankfully, since you can never have too many, and gives a slight sigh once she's out of view.]
Well, we certainly tried, and the fact that there was an opportunity at all is a sign of something.
no subject
That could have gone worse. At least we're still in one peace.
[She pauses a moment.]
I take it a a sign that they no longer have as much control over their experiment as they once did. I'm also certain this is a conversation we should be having else where.
Anyone up for tea at my place?
