011 - [Video]

[It's difficult to see much of anything, because Laharl is posting this from the usually cozy interior of his coffin. The only light is coming from the SFC itself. His red eyes seem to drink it in like cats' eyes, but the rest of his face is indistinct.]

Is this w-what it feels like to be s-sick?

[Someone may have panicked a little and not checked any other posts.]

Oh, are you sick? I could always bring around some soup?

[Guess whose perfectly fine and peachy and not effected?]

I'm t-told it's a c-curse.

[But... free food.]

You cook, too?

A curse. Oh, you mean the curses that were mentioned in the welcome brochure?

[She nods.]

Back at home I use to cook for the people I lived with.

Yeah, that c-crap.

Good. Then g-get over here.

Okay!

Though is there a certain type of soup you want? Or would you like a choice between leek and potato and chicken?

Something with m-meat in it.

[Don't give him all that vegetable stuff.]

Then I'll make chicken soup with extra chicken.

[She'll make it from scratch and everything.]

Hn. Kn-nock when you get here.

[He's just going to curl up in his scarf in the meantime and pretend that feels warmer.]

Okay! I'll probably be around in an hour at best.

[Now it's time to get a cooking. After some time and a nice container later, Tohru finally makes her way and knocks on the door.

[Laharl is slow to answer. There's a thud as he pushes the lid off his coffin, and some moments later he opens the door. His face is buried deep in his scarf, but it's clearly done nothing for the shivering.]

T-took you long enough.

I apologize. [She walks in with a basket, making the way to the kitchen before sorting it out.]

I just hope it helps, even if it's a little bit.

[She will probably notice what an utter mess his place is, though the kitchen isn't as bad since, surprise, Laharl doesn't cook. There are some food wrappers and cans lying around, and that might have been a rat scurrying out of sight.

Laharl follows her over grumpily.]

W-we'll see.

[Tohru's face when she sees the mess. It reminds her of the Sohmas so much. They didn't do much in terms of cleaning or the kitchen and that was a mess before she got to it.]

Uh... I can see why you wanted me to clean your place. [She puts the soup into a bowl before pushing it to the side, towards him.]

There you go, enjoy while I go clean up.

[Laharl doesn't seem the least bit bothered or embarrassed by it. At least he recognized it required cleaning.

He takes the bowl and sits down at the kitchen table~~, and no his legs are not dangling off the floor okay~~.]

Sure.

[Now this is service.]

[She nods slightly as she rolls up her sleeves. it's what one does when you need to clean as she set off to firstly get a rubbish bag and then to put the rubbish into it. She wonders if the soup will be of some comfort.]

[Laharl just sits and eats his soup, watching her work whenever she happens to be in his line of sight. The soup is warm, but the feeling of warmth seems to vanish within seconds of swallowing it.]

[She soon ties up the bag and goes to put it by the side of the door for the meantime, looking over.]

I hope everything is okay. If it's not, I can always do something else.

It tastes just fine. It's just not helping m-much.

I'm sorry if it's not working much. I don't know what else to do except hope you don't have a fever. Maybe I should check that.

A f-fever?

[Shiver.]

W-what, are you some kind of healer, too?

No. But I do know how to handle fevers and colds at least.

[Well she's learnt from others having to look after her after she gets herself a fever from stress.]

P-pretty sure this is magical, so the n-normal w-ways don't apply.

So, can't anything be done this time?

Like w-what?

I-I don't know really. I've never really dealt with anything like this before.
