[Chii very shakily turned on her device as she keeps it firmly in her hands. It's obvious from the shaking that Chii is in fact shivering and just doesn't quite know how to stop. But she certainly looks confused.]

Chii doesn't understand why Chii is shivering. Is it because of the curse people speak of, or is it that Chii is broken?

[She had heard about it being a curse, but Chii still hadn't been in one before, so this was a new experience for her to say the least, even the feeling of cold was new.]

Chii knows that now. [She smiles, before looking at the blanket now on her shoulders.]

Chii has never been cold before, so Chii wouldn't know if Chii was uncomfortable.

Even so, you might feel strange, and that wouldn't be good. I wouldn't want you to break down from the cold, or anything like that.

[She shakes her head slightly. Breaking down just wouldn't do at all.]

Chii will try and not break down because of the cold. Chii will do her best to get warm.

[Shiro nods, resting a hand on her shoulder with a faint smile.]

Apparently touch helps warm you up, or so they've been saying.

Touch? [She tilts her head for a moment. Touching helps? She didn't know that at all.]

Does that mean touching helps? Would it help?

Yes. Any physical contact, really. I'm already feeling warm.

[She smiles happily.]

Chii is helping. [She moves her hands, lightly touching her own.] Chii feels a little better now.

Good. I'm glad. I'm feeling better, too.

Would you like some tea?

[She shakes her head slightly.]

Chii doesn't drink, but Chii can try and learn to make tea.

Well in that case, let me teach you!

[Chii smiles brightly.]

Okay, then Chii can make the tea when Shiro wants it.

That would be nice. I would try to teach you other things but I'm afraid the only thing I'm good at is... rice.

Shiro is only good at rice?

[She tilts her head. Could one actually live on rice.]

[Kuroh picked him up like he weighed nothing.]

Yes.

Then Chii will learn to cook, so that Shiro doesn't have to live on rice.

[She... seems to be rather determined, especially since Hideki could cook when she was there.]

Oh... well...

[He'll probably always miss Kuroh's cooking, but it would be nice to not survive only on rice]

[She nods happily.]

Then Chii will learn when Chii can.

There's a library in town! That would be a good place to start.

[She smiles.]
