That was certainly an... interesting curse. [In all reality, Darkleer despises any curse that messes with their memories like this, but he's keeping on a neutral polite tone.] My congratulations to the Head Nurse and company for the creativity. As for our more recent arrivals who were not aware of how intense the curses can become... Well, I hope this was a learning experience for you.
The recent curse is not what I wish to focus on, however. Recently, the fine Miss Kanaya Maryam and I came to discussing the Welcome Brochures. We both noted that they are perhaps a bit out of date, and do not address some of the more pressing matters that newcomers are thinking of when they first arrive. So, her and I wish to revise them.
As this affects us all, I would like to know what information you think would be important to included, and what questions should be a priority in answering.
Kanaya and I have already come up with a few ideas of our own.
We believe that one of the most important things to deal with is addressing the difference in the passing of time with Vatheon and our original worlds, how it is impossible to get back of our own free will, why we are here, things such as that. We will include things in the original document on how to get housing, of course.
Please, let me know what you all think. Thank you. Kanaya has made a more comprehensive list of things she believes should be added, and I can send it to you if you wish to look over it. If you have something to add, I am always open to suggestion

As you can see, finding sparring partners is a bit easier if you simply make it known. Like my matesprit is demonstrating.
[Sigh, summoner...]
video;
Don't tell me what to do, goat-boy.
[Nevermind that he doesn't know what a matesprit is.] I never said anything 'bout sparring, either.

[That's the important thing, here.]
It was more of a request, really. Unless I tranquilize you and install a biotechnological chip into the base of your skull to try and control your actions, I can't really make you do anything.
I'm not exactly sure what you want, then.

[He never really cared when he'd come across Hollow like that--they were all prey in his eyes.]
What makes you think a tranquilzer'll even work on me, huh? Y'know I could just dig the damn thing out myself even if they did work. [A beat, then he snorts to himself. Was this guy serious? Shit.] And why the hell should I even listen to your request? You ain't in charge here.

[Sorry did you want to have a discussion on tranquilizers and why you should listen to him? Nope.]
They are two vastly different types of beasts! For one thing, they are not in the same scientific order. Goats also have cloven hooves, unlike horses, and it should be noted that horses do not chew their cud like goats do. Not to mention the size difference which you could only ignore if you were blind or pathetically stupid!
The hair covering their body is also different. Horses tend to have shorter hair save for their long gorgeous manes and tails. On the other hand, goats tend to have coarser fur- the exact patterns of it vary from specific breed to breed. Let's not even go into their various uses in regards to more sentient beings..
I mean, it is generally only the goat whose milk we use for drinking and the creation of cheese- as despicable as the practice is, I suppose I must admit in fairness that you can eat the flesh of both horses and goats, but I imagine even in that there are differences in texture and flavor.
Besides, have you looked at the eyes of a goat? They really are quite noticeably different from most species on earth, certainly including the horse! Then there's the issue of their horns, a part of the anatomy that horses... usually do not possess. Their tails are also very different, with horses having their long beautiful swishing tails of hair, and the goat in the possession of short ones which point up and are not made solely of hair.
Of course, we must address their diet as well, as the goat is considered a ruminant, which means they have a four chambered stomach adjusted to their diet. Horses are different, and only have one.
[He'll keep going, man. He'll keep going.

My name is Darkleer. May I know your name?
Yes, I know who you are, but I suppose it only makes sense that you wouldn't know me in return. I'm Rose Lalonde.
