[Now that the curse is over, Anya has some important questions that actually don't involve sex or money. Well, mostly.]

So, I got that the coral has a hold on us thanks to these cultist tattoos. I didn't realize it could make us all act loony enough to think we were comic book supervillains--or superheroes--but all right, they can use it to mess with our heads.

How did the whole... city-changing part work? Was that a perception thing, did we all just think we were robbing banks? Or did something physically change into real sacks of money for that week? ... Not that I was robbing banks, and if I was, I couldn't be held accountable for my actions.

I know this last curse was pretty harmless because no one ever really dies in comic books... or sometimes in real life... But I'd like to know just how much reality-bending power this thing has.

Well, it is sort of complicated and wonderful, but when you get that close to another person it can be terribly painful, and it leads to a lot of broken hearts and vengeance, and I'm still on the fence about whether or not it's really worth it in the end.

It does concern me. I like having money and using that money to pay for things; there's an exchange that's completely material and comprehensible.

You know, it is like a disease. It makes you do all these irrational things like offering to give your life for someone, and then when something happens like- you find out they don't want to give their life for yours, it feels like all your organs have just been ripped from your body.

And yet when you are alone with them it's like being all doped up on happy drugs.

Ch. I had that feeling once. Someone had he gall to save mine and he was fuckin' giving me this look like he pitied me. I fuckin' hated that look.

I know that look. That's the look someone gives you before they stab a sword through your chest.

You know, the kind they give you in the hospital to make you stop feeling pain. Morphine. I hear it makes you feel really great.
