[That final confirmation reassures herself, falsely or not. Yes, he will come back, giving up hope is the absolute last thing she should be doing right now.]

Okay well. Here's what I think: You shouldn't bully or harass the weak and small, you should protect them or at least help them learn to stand on their own. You should never lord your strength over others, you'd be a tyrant in doing that.

But, now that I think of it, you shouldn't hit people at all unless you're in an actual fight with them, shouldn't you?
