 [The last thing Percy remembered was taking a really hard fall. A hard that should have ended in darkness and death, but most certainly not anywhere close to any source of water. Lave and instant death, sure, but not this. Or to some weird communicator and a brochure. If anything, this was the nicest welcoming committee he'd seen and that didn't make him any less anxious.

He'd tried reading the brochure. He got some parts of it, but his mind was too wired to make any more sense of it than "Hi,welcome to an underwater city! You're stuck here, have fun."On normal occasions this would be cool, but it's not a normal occasion.

So instead he looks less  like his usual troublemaking self and more confused when the Starfish Communicator finds its way on. His ida was get answers real fast and then abandon it, but well...] 

Um, yeah. Hi there. 

So you'd think I'd be used to this whole being kidnapped thing by now, but just for the questions of one confused kid is there any not text version of this thing. [He means the pamphlet.] Maybe a welcome video? One of these days I'll totally have earned a welcome video--

[A brief pause as he considers  before speaking more firmly and less jokingly.] Is there any way to find out who's here? I like playing marco polo, but this important. 

 --And what are we supposed to be doing here? Admiring the view? I mean it's pretty great, but normally you don't just appear places for no reason. That's normally how it goes.

[ Annabeth's surfing the SFC channels from her bedroom in Coral Corral when she stumbles upon a face and voice so familiar that she actually drops the device onto the desk.

No. No it can't be. But when she picks her SFC up again and tunes it back in, she discovers that it very well can. Unless the coral god was playing a cruel joke and had brought someone else that was the spitting image of her boyfriend Percy Jackson back to the bubble.

Her fingers are shaking so much she can barely hit the button to broadcast a video, but she manages it. Just. ]

Per-- Percy? Is that... is it you?

[Really, there was only one person he was looking for. At least immediately. It was the only thing he could think of because of where they were falling. Thinking about others would be later, but if they fell together-- maybe the gods would let them...?

He just doesn't know what he was expecting when he saw her.]

Annabeth. [It's a rush of worry and relief all at once. And frustration that he can't really see her, but he tries some humor.] I think so. I don't see any clones around, so I'm guessing it is.

[An attempt before he continues.] Where are you? [Not where or we or any of that. Because that could wait.]

[ Of course he'd make jokes. He wouldn't even remember being here. Annabeth had barely registered what he was saying on the SFC but she was pretty sure it'd been the usual "where am I, what is this place?" kind of deal.

She takes a deep breath and rubs her temple, attempting to steady herself and get her mind around this time paradox thing given that he's only just arrived. Then she finally lets herself smile, and once she does it threatens to split her face in two. ]

I was about to ask you the same thing. Are you in the plaza kind-of area?

[He was just trying to feel less anxious and to make sure she was there. It was kind of difficult, really, because there was so much not right about this and- -Well, it was nice not being in, y'know, hell and all.]

[So he waits in what feels like an agonizing amount of time until she smiles and responds. His own smile comes easier when he glances around.]

[Dionysus saw the message when it first appeared, but it takes him a little while to decide he's actually going to respond. It was easier to keep track of the young heroes if they knew he was watching. Less chance of the world ending this way. Less, but there was never any guarantee.

No, Annabeth gave me a tour and filled me in on what demigods do at camp. Not that I got to do any of those things when we first arrived.

Well, first thing you should probably know is that there aren't any monsters here out for demigod blood. It...takes some getting used to, but it's true. None of us have been attacked since we got here.
