[ Sick of new faces on the network yet, Vatheon? Well, this new guy probably wouldn't even have shown up to do the whole 'Hey, I'm new here' introduction thing, except that he suddenly came to a very important realization... ]

Yo. Heard there's supposed to be a bunch of people I don't even know watching on this thing...?

Well, I just got here. My name's Saburouta Bandou. But, just call me Bandou, OK? That's what I'm used to.

And absolutely no one here is allowed to call me San-chan!

[ No. He doesn't realize none of you would have thought to call him that on your own. ]

It's a personal nickname! There's only one person who's allowed to call me San-chan and he's not even here, alright!?

[ AND HE'S TOTALLY NOT BUMMED ABOUT THAT. SO DON'T BOTHER ASKING. ]

So yeah, uh... I guess that's it.

The fact that you so loudly broadcast your nickname of San-chan as something you wish not to be called shows a deep-seated desire to have others use the name. This is clearly a case of "The lady doth protest too much."

Your protestations are doing absolutely nothing to convince me that you aren't fond of the nickname. There was no need to bring it up in the first place other than wanting to make a scene and draw attention to the nickname you are secretly proud to have been bestowed.

If you really disliked the nickname you could have stopped him from using it before it became habitual. If your current avarice over it is anything to go by, it's likely that Shouhei continued to use the nickname to evoke that reaction from you. In which case if you really did dislike it, it would have been far more productive to accept the nickname without any sort of tsundere reaction. He would have gotten bored and moved on to using your proper name.

Are you so certain?

[Of course, Rose has no clue who this Shouhei is, but that's not going to deter her from inferring things.]

May I inquire as to how old you are now?

So, it does not strike you as odd that someone who has done things to piss you off for fifteen years would be doing it unintentionally? There's little space to argue against it. He has purposely gone out of his way to piss you off because he enjoys getting a rise out of you. Were you not so easy to aggravate, I'm certain he would have ceased trying to quite some time ago.

Let me get this straight, he pisses you off because he doesn't purposely piss you off? That is some of the most inherently flawed logic I've ever witnessed, which given the conditions of where I came from is saying quite a lot.
