I had every intention to make my network debut far sooner than this; however, Vatheon seemed to have other plans for me.
For those of you that have not met me before, my name is Rose.
I've been informed that I've been here in the past, but I have no recollection of such an event.
Please excuse me if I do not recognize you.
For those of you that I saw when I first arrived several weeks ago, thank you for not admonishing me and my rather abysmal choices.
I would be hard pressed to say that I have fully recovered from the events of that day, but I am working on it.
Then there was the whole curse business that occurred just as I was settling in to a routine here.
The effects of which were quite disorientating once things returned to "normal."
I can only assume that it has affected many of you in a similar way.
If you need anyone to talk to about those events or anything else that might be bothering you, I am all ears.

I think it's a little bit of both.

Let's just say that if some things were a little different in my world, I would have ended up in a different place.

And...I'm glad that I didn't turn out that way.

I don't face that outcome again. I think I that it would just make things a lot more worse than just...trying to save it.

I would have to agree, it's not a situation one would want to face once in their lives, let alone multiple times.

I expect most people weren't given the nature of the curse.
A real friend would certainly forgive you for something that was clearly not in your control.

...I'm afraid it's a rather complicated relationship. He just doesn't like people in general.

He has had some trouble trying to understand others and while he might think otherwise, I still consider him my friend.

Ah, I can imagine that it would be complicated.
Everyone needs friends and oft times those who act cold or aloof do value the relationship even if they cannot admit that it's there.

Yes, he really does care a lot about me even if he doesn't see us as friends.

In fact, no matter how hard I try, he just keeps on refusing and it's gotten to a point where we can't do anything about it.

....Well, he is my guardian and he doesn't see it any other way. I've been trying to say that title doesn't matter here but it does hold it very dear to his heart...

That is a difficult bridge to cross, transitioning from viewing someone as a ward to viewing them as a friend.
Your best bet is to drop trying to push the issue and simply let time take its course.
He will either come to terms in viewing you as a friend on his own or he won't.
But pushing the matter with someone stubborn rarely gives one the results they want.
And it may even cause him to view you as more childlike.

Perhaps you are right, maybe I am just pushing him a bit too far about this type of issue...

I just wish that there was another way for him to see that he doesn't need to protect me anymore. But maybe I really should just wait and see what happens next...

The path you should take is to show him through actions rather than words that you're capable of taking care of yourself.

Eventually he will have to come to terms with the fact that you're no longer in need of his protection.
However, it may take a lot longer than you'd like if it's a matter of this being his reason for life.

It's just really difficult knowing that there isn't much I can do. I know that I should wait but it's also a matter of time before we truly do become frustrated with one another.

And when that happens, I think it might be the point of no return too...

There's a chance hearing his side of things may help me better mediate this.
