Another inquiry. I apologize if these are becoming frequent, but I must know--

Some of us return to our worlds, not to continue on with life, but to have it end so abruptly. In that case, if you were to disappear tomorrow, how would you spend today?

The same way I would spend any other day.
This entire set-up presumes that everyone would precognitively know that this would be their last day here in order for them to go about things differently.
While some might have powers that would allow them to see the future, it does not mean that they would know their own fate to such an exact moment to do anything differently today in preparation for tomorrow's departure.
Or their impending death.

Take risks, enjoy the life you have left, I say! I certainly plan to do so.

You are working under the assumption that I do not already do whatever I want, enjoy life, or take risks.
I assure you that I live quite a full life already and that I see no reason to change my behavior in the off-chance that I were to disappear from here tomorrow.
Besides which, a sudden change in behavior would only alert your friends to the fact that something was wrong.
It would only bring them more pain and suffering when the inevitable happens as they would believe they had an opportunity to prevent it.

But what if it was inevitable? What if you were faced with a difficult choice - die tomorrow, living life as you would any other day, or do something today you wouldn't normally do?

Well you see, I really like living! So even if someone tells me that it's inevitable I'm going to look for a way to keep living. I don't think I'd be able to forgive myself if I didn't.

So to answer your question; I guess I would spend today doing something I wouldn't normally do.

I'd spend it trying to make as much of a positive difference as I could. There are no guarantees at any point that we'll still be here tomorrow.

And I'd pray for forgiveness.

Simple. You don't see it as 'impossible', Colonel. If you're to live life to the fullest, you need to take any risks you can.

Making a dent is better than sitting by and doing nothing.
