4th letter | text
[Marcello was ungrateful for the rest he had been given. It was no fun depending on others or on anyone who you found it easier to detest. So he had packed his things and gone almost as quickly as his vision returned to his eyes. He had left without saying a word. It was not easy.
This time, he gave up trying to hurt his brother with words of his own. He sought those of others instead - but not to use them against Angelo, either.]
Greetings. Now I have recovered my health, I will ask this question: in this city, what parts are there to play for a man trained in the holy orders? The boredom of leisure is intolerable. I cannot see myself sat here doing nothing.
Regardless, I speak primarily of martial combat. I am also familiar with a wide range of literature. I equally acquainted with my world's scriptures, though that area is... Faith no longer interests me. I am perfectly willing to detail them for those who are interested, however.

[He can't help it, it's in his nature to tease you.]
If you insist, I have no interest in people that have poles up their rear ends anyway.
[ voice ]
How on earth could you even think that I would-
Ugh. What idiot made you the boss of anything?
[Please, he really wants to know.]
[ voice ]
Someone who saw my charming personality as an major asset, so I was promoted to a management position. It's just like back home, you could say. I became known as the Angel of Maella for a reason, brother. My personality shines brightly as if I'm an angel from the Goddess herself and people adore me to give me everything I want if not more.
Re: [ voice ]
I question what you do and have done to earn such favour, but I don't particularly care to know. [He can guess, thanks.] Regardless, I hope the unfortunate women you sweet-talked are recovering from the encounter.
It's nothing to do with me, anyhow.
[ voice ]
There's no need to be jealous of me, brother. Not every person in the world can be so dazzling in appearance or personality as I am. Everything about me is all natural and gifts from the Goddess after all. Are you going to curse the Goddess herself for creating me this way?
Re: [ voice ]
No. The thought of blaming natural occurrences on a 'goddess' residing in the heavens sounds a ridiculous one to me.
[The books on geography Serph had brought had been curious reads - and more than a little eye-opening. Though... those really didn't cover the circumstances he was thinking of here.]
[ voice ]
Good to hear then. At least you've lightened up slightly being in this bubble I see, though not by much it seems. Oh by the way, you left a few things of yours back at my place. I'd appreciate it if you'd come get them.
[ voice ]
I will collect my belongings when you are at work and I am ready.
What belongings I have, anyhow.
[ voice ]
There's one I want to give you in person. You remember your Templar's Ring, don't you?
[ voice ]
No. This is not something I wish to take back from you.
[He would have refused no matter the way he'd been asked. He had given it to Angelo for a reason - and it's still a reminder of a life he wants nothing to do with no more. But at least he's being honest about it?]
[ voice ]
Very well, I won't give it back.
[And that's all he'll say to it.]
[ voice ]
... Still, I must thank you for the offering.
[And that's all Angelo's getting.]
[ voice ]
It's your ring after all, I have no reason to keep it.
[ voice ]
Although, satisfying his honour was a failure right now. He had lost it. And he had lost it in front of the eyes of the person he cared for the most: Francisco. Was his brother deaf?]
Then sequester it in a draw somewhere. Or sell it and fund your habits. I did appreciate its value whilst it was on my finger, but it is worthless to me now to say the least.
[ voice ]
Now that you mention it... I have better plans than those thank you. There's someone who would appreciate this ring more than you do now.
