[The video turns on a bit by accident. If anyone asks, she'll blame the mechanical dog or Leo.
Anyway, it shows her looking very intently at a polished, bronze knife. The blade part specifically. Piper frowns as she looks at it, eyebrows creasing together in mingled frustration and concentration. Eventually, she sighs and sheaths her dagger, looking slightly miffed. She glances over, notices that the SFC is recording, and hesitates. Tell people she has a magic knife or let them think that she's insane?
Considering everyone else seems to have some sort of magic weapon or whatever, Piper decides to go ahead and spill.]
So, my knife, Katoptris? It can show me things, like people and places, sometimes the future. I can kind of control what I want to see, but if it's visions of the future, then the dagger just chooses whenever and whatever it wants to show me.
[She rolls her eyes briefly in annoyance.]
Anyway, I thought I'd try looking for some things. A lot of it didn't work, but I thought I'd try regardless. It hasn't shown me anything from the future the last few times I've looked at it, but that's probably because of some interference of Vatheon's or something.

I don't think Katoptris was built to look into other worlds anyway, so I can only see things that are here, unless they're guarding against that.
