[the video feed comes on, with a shake and a start... as if somebody were stepping on the controls. Eventually, it pans back, showing... well, showing what appears to be some sort of wild ass]

... Who the hell is responsible for this?!

[yes, that's Masaru's voice coming out of it]

SERIOUSLY, WHEN I FIND OUT WHOSE IDEA THIS WAS, I'M GOING TO PUNCH THEM INTO THE GOD DAMN SKY!

... FINE THEN, I'LL KICK THEIR ASSES! I WILL LITERALLY KICK THEIR ASSES!

[Ohgod this is too good. Rin can barely contain himself long enough to say:]

Eventually, though, Rin would hear the sound of something approaching.

The sound of hoofbeats. Charging right at him]

... you're seriously gonna play this game with me?

[Rin just rolls his eyes, and pulls himself in to a ready stance, blue fire erupting from him.

If Masaru gets close enough, there's going to be a flaming fist going right for his donkey face]</small.

[oh Rin.

He'd be disappointed if you didn't.

He charges right in anyway, proving that even as a ~~ass~~horse he is still quite literally stubborn as a mule.

It's worth getting burnt a bit if he can give you some payback]

[You're not going to be getting much payback, Masaru. Remember what happens every time you go up against Rin's flames?

He pulls his fist back, and as soon as Masaru's face is near him he lets loose, hurling a flaming punch right at him.]

[HE'LL TRY ANYWAY, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT A MAN DOES.

And it seems even as a horse he still has digi-soul, so there's a barrier of that protecting him as he hits Rin's fist as he tries to knock his opponent down]

If you're gonna do this then don't hold back!

[Barrier or not, Rin's flames are powerful, and he's gotten more control in the past two years.

Which means he might very well be pushing through that digi-soul]
