Second - Vid. Unexpected naps.

Oh dear, that certainly was a more of a nap that I expected - To sleep for a week, why, I must have been very tired. Nonetheless, I do hope that everyone is alright and nothing dreadful has befallen you. [Have a concerned smile from a concerned queen, Vatheon.]

Though, I do have a question. Whatever am I to do with two mugs? I do not mind giving it away, of course. Oh, yes, If I might ask, is it normal to receive such a gift after a curse?

[ And a rather groggy looking doctor comes to call, though he tries to look decent before responding. Though he's just putting his glasses on and he's in a simple grey shirt instead of his usual white suit. ]

...A week's long sleep? I can't say this is unusual. It's happened in the past before to several others: a period of inexplicable sleep which can last as long as a month. I've just awoken myself though my period of hibernation has lasted only three days, I believe.

As for the mugs... no. It's quite unusual this time around. Perhaps something unique to the curse that just passed.

As long as a month? [!!!] Oh dear... still, that does not sound healthy at all if it is not uncommon here. You would not happen to know why this is such?

I wonder why such a thing has happened then.

A month, two, though causes are unknown. We've yet to find an answer though it seems to happen at random. I've come to consider it as a consequence of being brought here, much like the curses.

[ A pause as he rifles through his files in case of something he's overlooked. Nope. Nothing. But he's gonna make note of this. ]

I wouldn't worry so much about the mugs. Consider them perhaps a souvenir from the ordeal.

Oh how terrible. Though, If you are sure there is nothing to prevent this, then perhaps I should not worry as much. [Still... she'll worry a little.]

Of course, though it does seem rather... odd.. if nothing of the sort has happened before.

As of now, there doesn't seem to be a known cause or cure but as it is, it doesn't seem to cause any harm whatsoever.

[ He seems thoughtful though. ]

The city does seem rather generous with its gifts every now and then.

Oh. There have been other such gifts?

Around Christmas, yes. This city seems to have taken to emulating holidays familiar to some of the residents here. Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving... down to the tradition of gift giving.

Oh, that does sound wonderful indeed and I do hope that I experience some of this festive cheer myself. Oh, though it would hardly be the same without those dearest to me. [Sad face.]

Perhaps if you're lucky... or... were they unlucky.

[ A pause as he shifts in his seat. ]

My apologies. Here I am carrying on and I haven't asked your name yet. I am Kazutaka Muraki, one of the city's resident doctors. And you are...?

Oh? Are these events not as wonderful as they should be?

What just passed was one of the city's tamer surprises. I will warn you now there are times they can get... dangerous.

The pleasure is all mine, Miss Mouse. [ And such a proper mouse. ] I'll do the best I can should you need my services however, I must admit I'm not at all familiar to your kind. What may work for most humans might not work for you.

Oh my. How dangerous are we talking?

[Of course she is proper. Even if she's humble about her status ~~most times~~ One must always have manners.] Oh dear, that could be a problem indeed. I would assume that the superficial would work though...

Invasions, on occasions. Monster fish the last time. Zombie mermaids, as I've been told, have appeared before.

[ A pause and the same small smile you can totes trust. ]

However, it is within a doctor's responsibilities to provide care for their patients. I shall do this with the utmost of my abilities.

Oh dear. But it seems that the City has it's defenders.

Of course and should you require any assistance about my species, I shall be happy to oblige.

As it has its share of those who set up safehouses during these times. The clinic, certainly, is one of them.

[ There's a nod back for that. ]

I'll make sure to keep that in mind. Though, if I may, should you learn any more about these mysterious sleeping spells, I'd love to hear about it.

Did a friend give you theirs or somethin'? That's how I ended up with two, but to that second bit that's the first I remember getting something from the curses.

Oh no. I just woke with two.

Oh. I wonder why this is then? [perplexed mouse is perplexed.]

I have no idea, but I kinda like 'em! Plus I've been kinda lookin' for a new cup, so they work out just fine for a guy like me.

Oh, then I'm very glad to hear that.

They are certainly are adorable, too.
