[Mitsuhide is sat in a garden today, right at the edge of a large pond. His long hair is loose, his kimono a pastel blue, and he looks... happy, to a certain degree. This is despite the current dip in his general mood; keeping busy is helping with that.]

[Behind him, on the surface of said pond, a pokemon of the Lapras type is watching him curiously.]

It took some time to find a new home that was suitable for myself and my family, and more time again to make to move, but finally we are here. The extra space is quite a blessing, especially considering the recent additions to our household. [He gestures to the Lapras, who makes a cheerful sound in response and swims up as close as she can.] This is Miyuki, by the way; a picture of beauty, is she not?

[Miyuki nudges Mitsuhide with her head playfully; he turns around for a moment to stroke her neck, before returning his attention to the SFC.]

I confess that I am relieved we were able to make the move well before the New Year as I know it. There will be plenty of time to settle in and clean as necessary.

[The young samurai rubs the back of his head with his free hand, expression growing thoughtful, before he remembers himself and drops it again.]

At any rate, if anyone wishes to visit myself, my Lord Motochika, Gracia or Lord Japan, let me know and I shall give you our new address. Stay safe, my friends.

[Mitsuhide loves to talk about his new pokemon partner; his face lights up, making that obvious.]

Elegant, beautiful, and gentle, with a strong heart. Vatheon was kind indeed, giving her to me as a companion.

I too am quite happy with our new home. *He chuckles lightly.* Especially with our additional members.

Indeed she sounds like the perfect companion.

She does not seem small enough to fit into your stocking as a holiday gift....

She came in her pokeball. It took me a while to work out how to use it, actually.

[He takes out the pokeball that has been hidden in his clothing and shows it to Kenshin.]

This is it. 'Trainers' from the world that has these pokemon keep their companions in these devices.

That seems rather small for such a large creature.

From what I understand, whatever magic or technology it is that is used to make these balls shrinks the pokemon down to a small size. Within is something of a 'world of their own,' a home for them to rest and find comfort in.

[That was how young Red had described it to him, at any rate, and young Red was not the type to lie. He was a kind, intelligent boy.]

If it gave them any discomfort, I would discard of the pokeball. She owns a part of my heart; I would never harm her.

They certainly ensure our household is rarely quiet, my Lord.

[Mitsuhide smiles, amused.]

This is an energetic family.

I am not convinced there's enough mess to sustain your cleaning until the New Year.

[There is teasing in his tone and expression.]

[Mitsuhide doesn't fully register that teasing; he pouts mildly, tilting his head as he regards Motochika through the SFC feed.]

It is a new home, my Lord. There is plenty to be done.

[Oh, Mitsuhide. That pout.]

Of course. [He says placatingly. Though not without amusement.] I suppose that I have not accounted for Gracia's determination to bring Feng Huang indoors.

If she attempts to bring him indoors again, I will not hesitate to remind her why it is not allowed.

[This is something of a sore point with Mitsuhide, and he frowns.]

It is frustrating to have to go over this with her so often.

[Motochika closes his eyes, smiling.]

It would be a shame for her to deprive the little one of Feng Huang's warmth. I have noticed he's taken to curling up in Feng Huang's nest when it's occupied.

Ah... yes, he has.

[Mitsuhide's own little chicobo had been given to him by Motochika without warning, which had knocked Mitsuhide off balance at first. He's still rather unsure of himself with the little bird; previous arguments with Gracia over Feng Huang had put him off chocobos beforehand.]

Perhaps realising this will discourage her from her attempts. Honestly, it is not fair on Feng Huang himself, to be brought into a space not big enough for him.

She loves him and wishes to keep him close to her. [Motochika points out mildly, implying the as a child would. Gracia -- married -- is a woman by their homeland's standards, but it's hard to think of her as one faced with her.] We could give her a blanket for the stables instead.

Be that as it may, she has had it explained to her many times. [He's aware of why she does it, but it mystifies him why his conversations about it just don't seem to sink it.] Gracia is old enough to take responsibility for things like this, so that is not an excuse.

[Perhaps Motochika might understand that Gracia's attitude in this worries him considerably; what would it mean for her when she went back home and tried to find his other self? Mitsuhide sighs.]

Perhaps, but she might decide she wants to sleep there every night if we do that.

She is a Lapras; a type of pokemon.

[Mitsuhide smiles.]

Have you encountered any other pokemon before?

Ah, I see! She's very beautiful indeed.

[She's not entirely sure how to greet the creature, so she bows her head]

I've encountered one other, but not many.

She does not believe that it is a serious issue and she is aware that your love for her is unconditional. You have a very willful daughter.

[Motochika understands Mitsuhide's fear, though he believes it far less of an issue. Gracia is so very serious and dedicated when Mitsuhide is involved.]

We can negotiate with her for the privilege.

Then perhaps she should respect that it is, to others? She knows how this might harm Feng Huang, or cause discomfort to the rest of us. I understand her motivations for doing so, but they are wholly selfish whether she believes them to be or not.

[Mitsuhide is getting genuinely angry now, and boy, does it show. Whoops. Much of what else Motochika said goes over his head.]

It is ridiculous that we should have to negotiate with her over this at all!

Calm down, Mitsuhide.

[Motochika says softly.]

[Nasuti was watching the feed with a bit of perplexed interest, but it wasn't until the last bit that she felt compelled to respond. With an over-enthusiastic eagerness, she switches on the feed, a look of sheer urgency on her face.]

Motochika...as in...the Motochika?!

[There is a sharp edge to Mitsuhide's voice when he talks next. Quiet, but cold.]

Calm down? Do you wish me to simply forget about this as well? Let it pass?

[There goes his good mood for the day. 8'D]
