| So, what just happened was a case of this places curse, am I right?
[Minako hadn't been effected, she just happened to somewhat watch people being children and cute.]
Are curses always this cute as to make people children? Do you suppose there's one that might do something as nutty as make people fly? I'm kind of curious as to how this works.
[It's quiet for a moment as the sound of chewing is going on, it appears Minako is eating and talking at the same time.]
Though I must admit I would of have loved to be a little kid again. Being as cute and adorable as I was, but I don't think the world here is ready for that. So you just have to be happy with me for the meantime. [Another bite of something crunchy before it goes quiet.]

| [It's not very obvious from his tone of voice, but Mitsuhide has gone backwards in time to the age of eighteen and is thus experiencing the shock of Vatheon all over again. For five days he had been stuck within the forest, with no knowledge of what lay beyond; a chance discovery of his SFC, combined with a local stumbling across Mitsuhide and Motochika's hut in the wood, has finally brought him and his companion to the main area of the underwater city.]
[It's overwhelming, to say the least.]
[The young man sounds rather awkward and unsure of what he's doing. The device he holds in his hands is far beyond any technology he is familiar with.]
I assume this is working... I am using it in the manner I was told.
[There is a pause as he checks the SFC over.]
If that is so, greetings to my fellow captives. I am Akechi Mitsuhide, a samurai bound in service to the Saitō clan of the Minō province of Japan. Most of you likely experienced the same shock as I did when I arrived, so I shall go no further into that.
[Alright, perhaps not exactly the same. Mitsuhide is starting to blush a little as he talks, but, of course, that is not visible. One might pick up on the embarrassment in his voice, however.]
Right now I have secured a home in the forest with Lord Motochika... or I suppose I should say that I arrived in that place, and it suits us fine for now. The local people of this place have been very generous in assisting us, so I shall offer my deepest thanks for that.
[There is a longer pause now, as Mitsuhide wills himself to get to the point of the post. There is one major reason he has come to talk to the network.]
I wish to ask a question.... would someone be willing to tell me the best places to obtain more of the wondrous dessert known as 'chocolate?' |

| [ So it's been roughly a good week or so since she's arrived and Shiemi's spent that time getting settled into the Villa, coming to terms with the fact that yes, she IS going to be stuck here for a while. The fact that some of her friends were here was comforting, though overall it was still disorienting.
So obviously, now is the time for a post! It takes her a good while to get the video running. ]
A-ah... hello, everyone! Is everyone doing okay? I... I just wanted to say thanks to everyone in the Villa for being kind enough to take me in after... well, after I arrived here. Thanks again!
Anyway, I... I was just wondering. Does this place have any gardens or anything I can plant flowers with? I... I'm just curious...
[ And it's not like she wants to plant a garden of her own here or anything, gosh... ] |

| [Motochika stands on the island, the restless ocean in the distance behind him; he is dressed in the thick, white fur coat Gracia gave him for Christmas, and his oshawott Takumi is tucked inside, head poking out. Snow falls heavily, catching in his hair and his eyelashes. The strong wind howls as it buffets them.]
The weather rages up here on the island, unrestrained... with no sign of relenting on its third day.
[Exhilaration is bright in his eyes; he smirks faintly.]
Severe conditions are a rare occurrence. If you must venture to the surface, do not come unprepared.
[Motochika spares a last look over his shoulder before he heads back in the direction of the elevator -- a conscious inclusion out of consideration for Mitsuhide's peace of mind -- and turning off the feed.] |

| D --> Has anyone thought to inform the local population on the proper methods of celebrating this human holiday? D --> Their own "research" seems extremely off D --> I am capable of realizing that and it is not even a holiday naturally known to me D --> This foolishness is getting quite annoying D --> They should have stuck to the previous year's stocking shenanigans D --> Which I would have vastly preferred
D --> Two last things D --> Firstly D --> Who is missing a stringed instrument of sorts?[Attached is a picture of a certain shamisen.] D --> Secondly D --> Out of idle curiosity D --> Is the date of January 10 of any particular importance on anyone's homeworlds?[ACTION][Goodness gracious, it truly is a Christmas miracle! Darkleer is actually out of his hive, with no prodding from children or meddling cat-trolls needed. With his glasses mysteriously missing, the annoyance is quite clear on his face. Those are precious to him, and it bothers him that the locals were so dimwitted.]
[He's seated at the table of an outside cafe in the plaza, and has commandeered a few tables for his own use- almost like when he first arrived here, really. It appears to be a tiny robotic fish of some kind, but it's hard to tell. He occasionally looks up and nods to people passing by.]
[Right next to him are two of his favored robohounds, who are guarding the instrument he was "gifted" with rather carefully.]
[Bug him?] |

| [When the video feed turns on, Lu-Shen looks a lot less composed than he did to anyone who might have seen him earlier in the month. Perhaps a shade paler, with a slight dark smudge under his eyes - someone's been neglecting sleep.
He's sitting at a table in what is obviously a suite in the Phasma Apartments to anyone who might recognize it, with a thick book on the table in front of him. At first it's not entirely obvious if the post was made on purpose, as he's simply looking at the book with a sort of vacant expression, lips pursed, and then his eyes flutter shut. He leans heavily to the side, against his hand, and for a long moment it seems like he's just fallen asleep, despite it being midday. Then the fingers of his other hand twitch into a loose fist, and he jerks awake with a small inhalation of breath.
For a moment, he looks confused, a little lost, and then he glances over at the SFC again, thoughtfully. He makes two slow blinks, and then shakes his head slightly.]
It's nothing like being...
[He speaks quietly, as if to himself, and then addresses any watchers.]
The coral I've read about, a source of power...does anyone know the nature of how our bodies were changed to need this power source?
[It's a vague question, and he's having trouble wording what's in his mind. Things are a little jumbled. And, whoops, his eyelashes are fluttering again.]
[OOC: Responses might be slow today but I'll be around longer tomorrow sorry!] |
|
| [What you see when the feed turns on is an Oshawott holding a rather large black and white guinea pig. The guinea pig is squirming, and squeaks every now and again; it's obviously not very happy about its current predicament. But the Oshawott seems very determined to hold onto the creature, despite the fact that the little otter pokemon is not, in fact, much bigger than his captive.]
[All in all, it's not actually that unusual a sight compared to some things you might see in Vatheon.]
[Mitsuhide himself comes into view moments later, sitting down now he has set the SFC in place. He hums softly before patting the Oshawott on the head.]
Easy, Takumi. I think you may be squeezing the poor thing a little too hard.
[Takumi, who is, of course, the Oshawott, makes a noise that sounds something like a huff, but he does loosen his grip a little. This seems to calm the guinea pig, at least a little; Mitsuhide nods, and then addresses the SFC.]
I take it this is one of the animals that escaped from the petting zoo? Takumi here came running in with it mere moments ago... I have no idea how so small a creature got this far across the city, but-
[At this point the guinea pig manages to break free of Takumi's grip, its previous calmness vanishing in an instant as it bites down on the poor pokemon and then darts away. The Oshawott is not amused, and with a cry darts after it. Mitsuhide sighs deeply, forgetting the network for a moment as he gets up and follows after. One can hear him say, vaguely:]
Good heavens, will you please stop terrifying the poor thing? It can't get out of the kitchen, you know. |
|
| Tama.
[Mitsuhide sounds gentle, but firm. There is a conversation he and his daughter need to have, and he's finally realised how to best go about it.]
It's time we talked about your fears properly. Leaving it any longer will not do either of us any good, I think. |

| [ You can hear the sound of her whimpers quite clearly. Gracia is clutching the SFC quite close. In the background, the loud barks of Futon is heard. The dog is directing its growls towards something. Or maybe someone. ] This is a curse, right? I-I don't like it...It isn't like one of those party curses Vatheon used to have during this time of year, no not at all! What about all the lovely costumes, and the dancing, and the fireworks? [ Her breath hitches in her throat. Futon's barking becomes louder. ] No, stay back! Hiyaa! [ Gracia's steps over Futon's tail by accident, causing the dog to yelp in surprise. Some static passes over the feed. Gracia frowns. ] You're not real, and you'll go away if I ignore you! Mm, I-I won't talk to you! No, I won't! So leave right now! You're not even -- [ She pauses. Whoever it is, it's speaking to Gracia, yet she absolutely panics at the sound of its voice. Futon barks even louder, and Gracia abandons talking to the SFC. She stuffs the communicator inside her pocket and begins to run away, somewhere, anywhere....
...Away from Him. Futon's barking chases after the recording, until Gracia frantically switches it off. ] (OOC: Replies will be ICly delayed. The shape of her living nightmare? An Akechi Mitsuhide ( wavesoakedlegs) who does not know who Gracia is. MWAHAHAHAHA. But you won't know that until she spills, or you catch her running all over town xD So feel free to reply in ACTION, if you're up for it!) |
|
| [Video would make it too obvious how he is feeling, and text would make it clear he is hiding from something. So Mitsuhide chooses to make a voice post instead.]
[It's unfortunate for him (or so he would think) that it is rather obvious when he is distressed; it reflects clearly in his voice. Mitsuhide is indeed being haunted by his fears, in the form of one Oda Nobunaga. Of course, nobody else can know that right now.]
This curse is like one we had once before, quite some time ago now.
[He pauses, and lets out a shaky breath.]
It will pass. These shadows will disappear soon enough. You can make it through. You can all make it through...
[Apparently that's all he wishes to say, but before he clicks off the SFC one can hear him mutter something under his breath:]
You are no Demon King. |
