_{[At first all the screen shows is darkness until something sparks and pops somewhere presumably off-screen. For a split second, Kimblee actually looks surprised, but not for the reasons those who know him would think.]}

To everyone else in the city, is this one of those infamous curses I've heard about, or just a power shortage? I'm leaning towards the latter but one can't be too sure with how this world works.



Anyway. Roy, as I was saying, I think we'll need a new television.

[Hi there, blond guy peering closely at the camera - though not directly into it, for whatever reason. Maybe he hasn't quite realised it's recording? His expression, hovering somewhere between curiosity and downright suspicion, certainly doesn't suggest he's familiar with the technology. And then there's his outfit, which could've been taken straight out of an old photo album. After pouring a bucket of water onto it, anyway.

The picture spins as he turns the communicator over in his hand, briefly becoming a tiny panorama of the plaza around him. Speaking of said hand, it's only onscreen for a moment, but is that some kind of armoured glove he's wearing? That doesn't go with the waistcoat.

By the time the camera's pointing more or less at his face again, he seems to have lost interest.]

Well, I'm not gonna find him just by sitting here... Guess I should get my bearings. [Although the tiredness in his voice makes it sound like he'd rather locate a drink first.

There's a blur of motion, and then the only image on the feed is the inside of a pocket. Yeah, he really doesn't know what he's doing with this thing.

Later on, you might run into him wandering the streets by himself, increasingly crumpled complimentary map in hand and looking decidedly frustrated.]

[ Sophie is sitting outside the house right now, dutifully doing some gardening while her silver tabby kitten, Tiger Festival, is pouncing at her ponytail, batting it around. ]

I was talking to someone about when its okay to touch people, and he said that he doesn't usually, because he's not a little girl. He said people are more likely to touch me than him because I'd appeal more to certain types.

I don't know what he meant by that. Does it have something to do with fruit? Some kinds of fruit have peels. Like bananas. But fruit can't hug people, because they don't have any arms.

Are there different types of people who like to touch girls? [ WHAT ARE YOU ASKING, SOPHIE. ]

The one I was talking to said he wasn't... qualified to answer. I think he's shy because he didn't want to take responsibility for it. How do you take responsibility for a question? What is responsibility?

[Noise comes first, the sound of a tv in the background, then the sound of footsteps, something sliding over a wall, with the noise of the tv fading away as the footsteps and the noise of fingertips sliding over a wall continues until the tv's faded entirely away now. Then the noise vanishes.

When the feed comes back its now with video to accompany the audio, showing a man dressed casually, white dress shirt, gray vest, black string tie around the shirt's collar. The man himself though isn't actually looking at the camera however...more like off to one side of it, but its at its general direction at least.]

I was wondering if anyone in the city would mind spending the day with me, to explain just how this communications device works? By that I mean, tell me which button does what and help me memorize just where each of those buttons are.

As you can hopefully see..provided I did manage to get the video function working.. I can't actually see what I'm doing. I have a brief memory of what I did before to get it to work, but even then I didn't actually fully understand everything it's capable of. So any aid toward helping me work this on my own would be appreciated.

So, I've been thinking, and it's come to my attention that we live surrounded by water. Which brings me to a question for everyone:

How many of you can swim?

I've also been thinking of what I'm going to do here, and I'm not sure what. But since I have a lot of spare time now, if anyone wants swimming lessons, I'd be happy to teach you.

Since it seems...kind of important and everything.

There's a problem in this town, Vatheon. So many lonely hunnies, just wanting someone to talk to, to share some companionship with - and I know what you've all heard about me but I really do mean companionship here, not the other thing (so Ky don't jump down my throat). I heard tell that there used to be a host club here in Vatheon and I think it's high time it was revived! If you could drag that smart-face friend of yours that'd be great too. At the very least he'll be an asset in the organizational department but without his glasses.. well damn.
