| [When Lloyd turns his SFC on, he doesn't look good at all. His cheeks are flushed with fever and he's leaning against a wall like he can barely keep himself upright, but after a moment, he pushes away from it, the view of the camera lurching as he staggers, almost stumbles. But he keeps going. He has to- He needs-
He doesn't know what. He just knows he needs to do it, that he can't stay home and rest.]
Guys...? I think... I need a panacea. They're in stock again... right?
[Yeah. Yeah, that must be it, the thing that he needs to find. The Nostalgia Nook was this way...
Wasn't it?
He shuts the SFC off and dizzily leans against a wall again, trying to catch his breath.] |

| [Hi Vatheon. Yup. This informant is on camera yet again and he's twirling around in his chair. He looks thoughtful this time, calm and reserved. He's holding a white king to his mouth and doesn't speak for quite a while.]
I always wonder what determines a society's legal bracket. From the world I came from, there was no historical evidence of a truly anarchy society. There was always some form of basic organization and authority. Whether you want to use the word king, ruler, leader, god, lord, prince, queen, majesty- it doesn't really matter. They all entail the same thing. They entail that the person in question is greater than you for some reason. Maybe they had the lucky draw of being born to a prestigious family or perhaps they had the wit of a thousand battles strong and knew how to deal with a society.
But what truly astounds me is the fact that Vatheon remains to be a peaceful society of well-mannered individuals who do not seek neither a leader to rule over them nor do any of them seem interested in being that very leader. Not to say that we live in a barbaric society in the city of Vatheon but it does make me wonder where legislation comes into place.
I mean, no one can truly punish any one here. The moral system is totally obscured by various worlds and opinions. Where murder is unacceptable on one world, it is a given on another. The same goes for everything else. And what of religion? What of God? What of death?
I still wonder if murder is truly a horrible thing in a world where you can't really die. Does it serve the same moral destruction that it might in some worlds- most worlds?
And anyway, who is to deliver the hand of punishment? Maybe that was Vatheon's plan all along. To create a society in which you are your own king. You are your own law. You serve your own justice. An eye for an eye sort of thing.
After all, who is to stop someone from having sex right out in the open on the fountain? Who is to stop someone from going into a crowded area with a loaded machine gun and going trigger happy on the citizens? Who is to stop someone from--
[He stops himself, having grown a bit more feverish and excited during this whole conversation, now clenching that king into his palm.]
Technically, nothing is illegal here. So who is to judge? Who is to punish? Does anyone even deserve being the one to determine what should be punished or not? It's all perspective. No one can say for sure that purple isn't blue. That kind of thing, right?
Eheh. I'm sorry Vatheon.
I know you're lost in your own perfect bubble of an on-going world of peace and utmost deliverance that could be from the gods themselves.
I shouldn't disturb such a peace.
[A heavy sigh and he gently sets the piece down onto a complicated board of chest- one that looks like quite a few pushed together. Well hey, quite a few people had gotten him game sets for Christmas. He had to use them properly.]
But then again, that's what psychological studies are for, aren't they? And I feel like I would only be neglecting my position of obligation in not pursuing such investigations.
I feel like a God lately. [He looks up into the camera and his mouth turns into a wicked grin.]

| [Your resident underground doctor appears on the feed, sporting a thermometer between his teeth and a rather large hypodermic needle between his fingers. After a few moments of fumbling, both instruments clatter onto a wooden surface, the blood-red contents of the needle sloshing back and forth as Shinra finally turns his flushed face towards the camera.]
Hello, everyone! It appears that some kind of mysterious epidemic is making its way through the enclosed cesspool that is now Vatheon - and it's bad enough that it even got a hold of me.
[He tries to cover up the fact that he sounds like a chain smoker with a light chuckle that quickly evolves into a coughing fit.]
In light of these developments, I am offering my medical consultation free of charge to anyone exhibiting symptoms! I'm also in need of some more test subjects, as the last seven blood draws have left my glucose levels a bit low...
If anyone around you seems unwell, keep your distance, and stay at home if you feel sick. Caution is the key to prevention!

| [A flurry of blurred images whip across the screen as the SFC's camera whirls around in a slender pair of hands, finally settling on the worn face of a young man, about 25 in appearance. His eyes are scanning something above the edge of the phone as he surveys his surroundings, his wet clothes giving off an attractive squelch as he moves. He brushes his dripping bangs off his forehead before turning his attention to the communicator.]
Video log one. Date... [Shinra lifts up his wrist and sighs at his now-useless waterlogged watch. That was a gift from Celty, too. He'd have to find a replacement once he got out of this place...if he got out of this place.] Let's go with day one.
I'm trapped in some kind of static bathysphere with no connection to the surface world. While my phone was damaged beyond repair at some point between being in Ikebukuro and...wherever this is, I found this star-shaped cell phone in my pocket that has some kind of connectivity to the rest of this place. I also still have my scalpel, which was nice of whoever landed me here. [He pulls the slim surgical tool out of his pocket and smiles fondly at it.]
If there's anyone out there who knows anything at all about the Black Rider, please contact me as soon as possible. It's of the utmost importance that I find out if she's okay or not.
...Additionally, if anyone knows where I am, [He turns the communicator and rotates in a slow circle, panning across several buildings and the shadowy outline of the Great Lamufao.] I'd appreciate the intel.
{video, text, action, whatever floats your boat! or should I say bubble...}
