[Labrador looks sadly into the camera. He's been stuck with a cute pink Burupya hat for a few days now. It has left him unable to speak and basically just acting like a little baby dragon which is what a Burupya is. He really wants to take off his hat so he paws at the camera asking for help.]

Buru... Buu... ['Please help me take off my hat...']

[But then something catches his attention! A pretty butterfly! And off he runs trying to catch it, leaping around happily with a rather cheerful...]

Pyaaaa~!!!

[If you're out in the plaza, he might accidentally bump into you as he plays around, chasing different things or he might try to chew on you!]

I am greatly alarmed by these curses. I most certainly have not encountered ones of this type before. Furthermore, how on earth can they target so many at once? What sinister presence could cast such evil magic? [A pause for recalling.] But this apparent change in behaviour concerns me the most. Such as people acting like or believing they are animals, for instance. I most definitely will not stand for people losing their identity.

[Even Marcello's been taken over by the curse; he's running a finger under the rim of his Abbot hat. And for those who know him, other things seem strange. He wears a symbol of his faith, and when he speaks he sounds like the caring person he was the day Angelo came to the abbey.]

In any case, I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting most of you before. My name is Marcello. Certainly, I will aid you in getting the relief you deserve, though my experience is in defending my dominion rather than expelling its evil. Regardless, I believe this head-wear will not remain irremovable for long. Just have faith. Everything will be fine.

Now, if you'll excuse me. I have important things to do and there are other people you can call upon; my brother Angelo for instance.

[He brings an arm across his chest and bows.]

[This is a bit embarrassing, but Ky doesn't have to worry about his cheeks pinkening. He can bear it with dignity. At least the crown on his head matches his uniform, and the dignity is part of what the crown is helping him feel.]

People of Vatheon.

[His voice is a little lofty, a little with the tone of someone who expects people to be impressed with him.]

Maybe we should take these hats, this "curse" as a gift. It's allowed me to see something I've been missing out on.

[Ky brings something up to his mouth, what looks like a fancy chocolate desert. He pauses to study it further, holding it between him and the SFC.]

It smells so nice.

[Maybe the point is to eat it, but no, he's going to stare at it a while longer. Once he eats it, it'll be gone, and he's in no hurry for that.]

[The SFC when on appears to be sitting on the floor with Chii sitting in the middle of the room, fully in normal clothes and not in the hotel anymore. Though not much has been done in terms of decoration or generally improving the place, but Chii didn't understand she can or want to.]

Saber, Tifa, Fai. Chii found a place to live. [Upon saying that she pauses, her face not breaking into a smile. It was good she found this place all by herself, but it wasn't as interesting adventure as she hoped.] But Chii never lived alone before, Chii isn't fond of it, so Chii is thinking of moving again. [She nods, mostly to herself.]

Shiro, can Chii still take up the offer? Chii doesn't want to think that someone is lonely. [She frowns a tiny bit, she didn't understand truly what loneliness was, but it hurt never the less at least that's what she thinks.] But Chii could help, Chii has seen many hats around, some look like fun to wear. Maybe that could help? [She goes to move away from the device, soon returning holding a funky looking hat.] Chii saw people wearing them and thought Chii should have one too. Would this help Shiro? [She ends this with a tilt of the head and a hat in her hands.]

[ Italy shows up looking threatening in his mobster hat! Clearly, he's lost it, and suddenly his bakery has become a front for the black market! Italy, mafioso. He usually has a thick Italian accent so he fits the bill well. ]

Ve, you need da goods, I got da goods. Just come on in and ask for Veneziano, then tell me what kind of pastry ya want.

[ he turns to someone offscreen. ]

Ve, you talkin' to me?

[ he leaves and there's a lot of indiscernible shouting, probably in Italian because yanno, mafioso. He returns and tugs on his suit collar like he just had to readjust his outfit after fighting with someone. But as this is still Italy, it was more of a wussy slap fight than anything else. ]

Ve~~~ Pardon me. I had to take care of some business, if yanno what I mean.

Vatheon... an' already I've gotta belly full 'a it. Everyone fendin' for themselves... da authorities bein' paid ta turn a blind eye and ear to the howls 'a despair dat cry though dese lonely, undawata streets.

Me, though? I couldn't do it. S'not my style. And that's where I come in. I'm here ta watch over dis town and protect my friends. Like da gargoyle keepin' a stony eye on 'is belov'd citadel.

Of all the hats Shiemi ended up with, it just had to be the pinstripe fedora. So now Shiemi's just slinking around in the shadows of some ~*~*~*~*~*~MYSTERIOUS LOCATION~*~*~*~*~*~ -- in actuality the Villa -- all while speaking. ]

Today was yet anotha strange day, like any otha in dis town; more hats all ova da city than there were sirens at da local club. No one knows how dey got here, or why dey was here... but then again, if all cases were dat easy I'd be outta a job.

[ A better question to ask would be where that saxophone is coming from. Or why everything around her seems to be impossibly smoky. ]

An' while da city's howls 'a confusion at dese hats hit octaves usually reserved f' callin' dogs, it means I had a case. Th' sound 'a greenbacks slappin' 'cross my palm is music ta my ears any day.

Afta all, I ain't a music critic. I'm a private eye. So whoeva's responsible betta keep their eye on th' shadows...

[ Oh, no! Yuri got into the hats! And she's actually wearing quite a snazzy looking one right now on the SFC video.

There's a bit of a determined, cocky smile on her face as she appears before the network today. She has one hand on her hat, and the other is holding her SFC up. She then takes the hand off of her hat and points in a direction.

...

It looks like she's on the island somewhere. ]

There's treasure somewhere on this island, and I'm going to go find it!

[ Obviously, she intends for this to be a solo mission. But hey, feel free to join her if you want. Or feel free to try and stop her, or shield her poor heart from the impending disappointment when she doesn't find the treasure she's looking for. She's obviously insane. ]

Okay, it might just be me, but doesn't anyone else think it's strange that all these hats are sticking on people's heads? I'm pretty sure it's another curse, but 'oh look you have a hat stuck on your head' just seems a little...I dunno, weak?

...

You know, I wonder what would happen if you put a hat on top of another hat that someone was wearing.

[Clearly someone should do this. For science.

But not Nanaki, no. She is not the wearer of hats.]

[When the SFC first turns on, all that is visible is red and white. As it slowly backs away, more of the hat is visible to show alternating stripes and a white brim atop Mr. D's curly black-purple hair. No more of his face is shown than the bridge of his nose, but his eyes are narrowed in extreme displeasure]

I demand an explanation for this outrage.
I warn you I'm someone you don't want to enrage.

[Bugs is sitting next to pretty impressive pile of hats. The range from a simple panama hat, to a rather elaborate show girls feathered crown. He's just looking over from the pile to the 'camera'.]

Oh, Murgatroid...dis place finally did sometin' right.

[He picks up a Golfer's Hat, spinning it on his finger.]

So, uh, what's up Vateeon. Hoird ya guys are flippin' ya lids all over da place.

[He giggles and leans forward, right in front of the screen.]

Be awful interestin' if uh, sometin' were to uh say, happen around dis time, don't ya tink?

[He just wiggles his eyebrows and shrugs at the camera.]

((ooc: okay, you guys get a taste of Nightmare Hare Bugs Bunny. He's bored and desperatly in need of laughter. What does that mean? Pretty much anyone answering with video is gonna have a rabbit pop through their SFC screen and plop a hat on your characters head. 8D))
