[It's Squall! On the network! Twice in a month! Unfortunately, like his last venture on the network, this isn't for a social call.]

This is Squall Leonhart with the Vatheon Defense Force.

I'm sure a lot of you have seen the...announcement from the Head Nurse.

What happened is Dr. Riffael has gone blind.

We will still allow visitors to speak with him and again, we will not tolerate any physical violence towards him.

[Squall doesn't care if he goes blind too, he will not let any more harm come to the prisoner.]

[Something - a body part similar to an elbow or a knee or something to that effect - hits the SFC, turning it on. All it shows at first is part of the wall in an alleyway and some clutter on the ground. Silence lingers for a moment, before there's a small moan. There's some scuffling, knees scraping against the ground, before a hand, then two come into view.]

...Where...

[The voice is quiet, but it's definitely Rinoa's. With considerable effort, she crawls over to the wall, unknowingly in most of the camera's view. She curls up into a ball against the wall.]

Don't... don't come back. No more needles, please.

[Who she's talking to, if anyone, is unclear. When her head lifts up, her one eye looks dazed and unfocused. The other would, too, except it's too swollen to tell. Her work uniform is tattered and basically destroyed. Most of the damage is on her back, which is blocked from view for now. But some of the blood made its way to the front and on her skirt.

Frightened, she looks around, as if waiting for someone to come back, someone she does not want to see.]

Don't come back. I don't want him to come back.

[She curls up tighter, burying her head in her knees.]

I'm scared...

[Untouched for awhile now, the SFC eventually shuts off, with Rinoa still totally unaware it was on.]

((ooc: This is forward-dated a little early to early evening. Rinoa likely won't be responding since she's still out of it, but still feel free to react or interact with other people who reply. Action is closed to Squall. There'll be an open log with Rinoa in recovery in a couple days C: ]

[Squall usually does Defense Force announcements using video or voice, but right now, he doesn't have the composure for it.]

I have an announcement for the Defense Force.

Another person has gone missing.

Her name is Rinoa Heartilly. She's seventeen years old, about five feet and four inches tall. She has black hair with brown highlights, and she normally wears a blue duster.

We need to start looking for her immediately. She usually spends her time around the lower district and in the areas around the plaza. Start there and spread out.

[ This was somewhat frustrating.

With all the murders, and then the horrible state some of the kidnappers returned, and the fact he was no longer in someone else' body, Rand decided he should test to see if he could still erase things.

He'd planned on using a cup that was damaged from one of the stores, but..

The weaves for Balefire won't form. He can get them most of the way there, but then they just loosen, unravel, and he's back just holding saidin. ]

Are there any abilities you once had, that no longer work here? I've found another, as I do know that Traveling - ah, teleportation of a sort - doesn't work as well as it could for me.

Serph is nowhere to be found. People don't just disappear, ( can you tell its his first time losing someone, vatheon? ) and it's impossible to get answers out of these "locals" or whatever the hell you want to call them! And he wouldn't just die that easily, even he's better than that.

Just because he isn't around though, don't think that means we're defenseless. I'll be taking over as leader in the meantime, so if anyone has any business with the Embryon, you take it up with me. ( look at how he jabs himself in the chest. that means he's serious... )

Everyone else, report in.

Hello fellow bubble dwellers~ First of all, thanks to everyone who came to the party two weeks ago! It was a blast, and it looked like everyone had a fun time. [Even the birthday boy.] And extra thanks to those that helped set up. You guys made it a lot easier for me.

Secondly, who's all going to the masquerade ball this Saturday? I'm definitely going, and I'm sure a bunch of others are, but I kind of wanted to see who all would be there. On the off chance you didn't hear about it, Johnny Rayflo along with The Golden Victory Club will be hosting a masquerade ball this Saturday! It's a formal affair, but you get to wear a mask like this. [She holds up her mask to show.] It's a fun chance to get dressed up and dance! So, you should definitely come if you can make it!

I know you've had it hard lately with running the Force solo, but I think you should go Saturday night. You need a night off. [Knowing Squall, he's probably hardly given himself a break since Serph went home.] Besides, I need a date. All you'd need is to get a tux or something to wear. I'll find you a mask.

You've probably at least heard of the thing that's up on the island right now.

I'm going to be honest; we have no idea how to fight this thing. But still, anyone who is willing to come up, we could use the help.

I also want to ask that people stay behind in case it wants to attack the city as well.

[A short, awkward silence.]

[The picture starts out wobbly, and doesn't really change. The reason for that is quickly made clear, since Tidus can be seen about to leave the medical clinic. He's holding his SFC with his left hand, his right arm in a cast, and a very new one at that. His expression is twisted into a glare, void of any of his normal cheerfulness, or any emotion other than pure hatred. He's storming out against any better judgment, heading for one place. He had been helpless in everything else, but this is something he is more than capable of, and he'll prove it. Besides, he has to do something to take his mind off of everything.]

I don't care what they say, I'm swimming.

[Someone finally caved and found an apartment. Holding the SFC, Tidus smiles a little distractedly.]

Check out my new place. I was getting bored with sleeping wherever I was. I don’t feel any different or more mature than I did before, at least not just in one day. I don’t think I would have felt any different if I hadn’t ended up in Spira…but I think that’s normal. Maybe. I’m not sure if it even counts.

[He shrugs.] It's an excuse to eat cake, so whatever.

[And he eats that piece of cake, talking between bites.]

What are your favorite things to do when you have time on your hands?
