How does one deal with awkward situations?

[Zelos stared at the public message on his feed, mentally kicking himself. He'd just been browsing through and come across it. His curiosity got the better of him and he'd clicked and was sorely wishing he hadn't. He didn't need context, of course. He'd been there. And he'd hurt her feelings.

Wasn't that always the way? Every time he actually cared if he hurt someone, he ended up doing it anyway.

Well, he'd make it easy on her and just leave her alone from now on. That way she wouldn't have to deal with his sorry butt anymore and could get on with life.

Though maybe he should apologize first.

He started to type a quick message, then deleted it. No, that kind of thing was better in person, then he'd stay out of her hair for good.

Yup, that's the plan. Just a casual apology when he ran across her next, no reason to go out of the way and make her more upset.
