Being straightforward is usually the best course of action. Have you been able to talk to them about it?

Not yet. I did tell him I didn't feel that way, though. He seemed to act like nothing happened when we parted ways.

Well, let's hope he's a good listener! You were able to get your feelings out, and that's the important thing. As long as you stand your ground with him, I don't see how any trouble could come of it.

If he keeps misunderstanding, don't be afraid to be firm. Some of us guys can be rather ignorant without even knowing it, after all.
