[Having gotten settled temporarily in one of the hotels, Ion finally decides to go about this "living in Vatheon" thing. Posting a video like this was much less likely to make someone feel obligated than asking for housemates in person, right?]

Ah, hello! I've just arrived here so I'm sure most of you don't know me. My name is Ion. I-I suppose I'll get right to the point.

The hotels here are really quite nice, but I'm not used to living alone. Is there anyone that has been looking for a roommate? I don't have any noisy hobbies and I clean up after myself!

Please don't feel obligated to respond, okay?

[Oh hey, there's a familiar face on the SFC today! Have a warm smile from your favorite blond-haired travelling companion, Ion.]

Well, it's nice to see someone familiar! Welcome to Vatheon, Fon Master.

[He gestures to the one-bedroom apartment in the background of his video.] My place is a bit on the small side... but if you need somewhere to rest, we can work something out - I'd be willing to accommodate you.

Oh - hey, have you been able to contact Anise? She just arrived a few days ago, and I'm sure she'd be ecstatic to see you.

[Initially, Ion is ecstatic to see Guy.]

Guy, hello! Oh, I would really appreciate that!

[His smile fades a bit as Guy continues, though.]

I... yes, I've seen Anise. Well, you know what happened at Mt. Zaleho. I don't think she feels comfortable talking to me...

[He nods and quickly types out the location of his apartment in a locked message ("Pendilum Apartment 3-3, a few blocks down from the library") and sends it off to Ion.

Then his face falters in confusion.]

...Mt. Zaleho?

[Sure, they'd been to Daath while wandering around, escorting both Luke and Ion in their diplomatic missions. But the nearby mountain isn't familiar in his mind.]

With all due respect, Fon Master... we never traveled that far while I was present. Refresh my memory?

[Ion might not think all that highly of himself, but it hurts that Guy doesn't remember. He speaks in a small voice.]

You... you don't remember? I died there...

[Wait.

What?]

[He would have chuckled in the absurdity of the statement, if not for the fact that Ion's voice and tone are so reserved and hurt.

...he was serious?

His expression slowly slips into a neutral state. Something wasn't right, and he was going to figure out what exactly that was.]

Ion. The last time I saw you, we were on the Tartarus. Akzeriuth just collapsed. You were very much alive.

Akzeriuth?! That was so long ago!

[Ion is beyond rattled. Yes, he was dead. Being brought back from the dead was miraculous. But he remembered Guy being there on their journey, so how could he possibly be here before all of that?]

I don't understand. How can you be here before all of that happened? You were there with us!

[Long ago? Akzeriuth had collapsed only an hour before he had found himself in Vatheon. Surely Ion had to be joking.]

Ion, I was with you. For a short time, but I was there. I don't remember you dying--

[His voice cuts off as something comes to his memory. His jaw sets and he looks off screen for a moment, mumbling to himself and trying to get his thoughts together.

"It's also not unlikely someone from your world will arrive later. Even showing up from the past or the future of your world."

So THIS is what Sven had meant by that statement. Dammit.

The frustration thankfully stays off his features as he turns back to face the screen.]

Ion... Has anyone explained the Lamufao to you? In detail?

[Ion tries to calm himself, taking a few deep breaths before answering.]

Not in great detail. I understand that in my case it brought me back to life, but that not everyone here died before their arrival. I know that it pulls people from other worlds. I don't know anything else about it.

[Bringing people back from the dead is news to Guy. He wished he'd known that sooner... although Ion wasn't dead the last time Guy had seen him...

His voice stays low.]

Well, it seems that the Lamufao has a habit of pulling people from all over the place. Apparently, this also includes people from the past and the future.

[He pauses. He's barely believing the words coming out of his own mouth - he doesn't want to know how Ion had died, or why, or when, or that he had been dead at all. It was unnerving.]

So, in other words... we may very well be from two different timelines. I from your past... you from my future. Does that make any sense?

[He wouldn't blame Ion if it didn't - it hardly makes any sense to him, but it's the only reason he can come up with for this apparent memory gap.]

I-I see...

[His mouth is slightly agape. Don't mind him.]

Does the Lamufao account for this? Will we be in danger now that I have told you some of the future?

[There's a pause, then a hesitant chuckle.] To be honest, I have no idea.

If it's alright with you, Fon Master, I'd prefer that we talk about this face to face - it's caught me a little off guard, haha... Can you meet me over in my apartment? If not, I can find another place that works more to your advantage.

[He's fascinated and horrified and confused all at once. Maybe it would be better if they discussed this privately, rather than on the network.]

I understand. Just send me directions to your apartment and I will be there shortly.

[He nods wordlessly and re-send the information that had been drowned out in their moment of panic.]

Travel safely. I'll see you soon.

[And with that, the SFC feed clicks off.]
