[On the communicator, there is coughing on the other end. While she is sick, she still continues on]

Greetings, my name is Nunn- [cough] Nunnally vi Britannia, 99th Empress of the Britannian Empire. I would like to ask if there are anyone from the Britannian Empire. Even if you are not, I would still like to ask for your n-[cough] name.

In the meantime, I hope that those who are ill to get well soon. Hopefully this pandemic of sorts will cease to be.

[It's a talking rabbit...that's something you don't see everyd- cough. Oops. She paused for a moment to regain her composure.]

Yes, I am, I think I will be. Thank you for asking, um...sir?

Most of what's goin' on ain't a panamedemic. It's just what this place does every so often.

[That voice was all too familiar. Even though it wasn't a video feed, he could tell that without a doubt it was his dear little sister.

Nunnally. And she was coughing.

His instincts told him to rush to the communicator, to pick it up and demand if she was alright and if there was anything he needed to do to help her. But things were different now, weren't they? They were enemies now, weren't they?

That declaration burns in his mind, and that's what makes him hesitate.]

[But it doesn't last long. She is his little sister after all, and not only did she more than likely just arrive here recently...she was sick as well.

So he takes the communicator and turns it on to video, the clear image of a concerned brother.

Instead of an enemy.]

Nunnally? Nunnally, are you alright?

[Instinct was taking over and even though things weren't all that great between them right now, he wanted to help her anyway. He couldn't just leave her alone there.]

[Britannian... Empire? That sounded... well, it sounded rather odd to him but it also caught him by surprise.]

May I ask what the Britannian Empire is?

I heard something about how Vatheon sometimes does strange things every once in a week or so. Still, hopefully it will end soon.

[Nunnally wanted to say no but she couldn't. He was still her brother and he deserves to be informed. Besides, they were living in the same apartment. He was going to know sooner or later. But...she couldn't deny that she wanted to get to know him better once more]

Yes, I believ [cough] ...I believe that I am sick.

It's an Empire that was born from the British. It is a- [cough] also the world's dominant military superpower.

And I'm afraid the closest I know of to what you're saying is the historical British Empire.

Simply curious. In my existence, Britain still has rather large Empire. However, the Queen is still the head and we don't have an Emperor or Empress. I'm... [There was a tiny pause for just a moment as he considered what he wanted to say.] I live under that particular British Empire.

Well, I'm pretty new here, too. Would you be up for some exploring?

Right now? I'm not too sure...I'm worried if this illness is infectious or not. I don't want to get you sick [cough] as well!

Can you tell me more about it? It seems that there are still many similarities. We too had a Queen in the past.

This'll be my second one and I've been here about a month. So...dat sounds about right.

I'd be quite happy to. England is the seat of the British Empire and to be totally fair, I suppose I should say that King George the fifth is actually in rule right now. Occasionally I forget that it's no longer Queen Victoria. My how time sometimes flies. [Occasionally, he has a bit of an airhead moment.] As for the Empire, itself, it really is quite global. There isn't really a continent that doesn't have some place on it that isn't a part of the British Empire.

I, myself, happen to be Canadian.

Are you not use to being addressed by such a thing?

How strange, it is very similar to my own world! I'm rather surprised to see this odd thing happening to in another world! [And yet...]

However, I'm rather unfamiliar with the term Canadian. I apologize.

I don't actually find that too surprising. I run into the problem at home of people not realising where Canada is. Many tend to lump it in with America or forget about it for whatever reason. Even so, Canada's been a part of the British Empire since pretty much 1763. Of course, being a part of the British Empire possesses it's own problems in a minor way - England tends to get all the glory for things.

I'm rather curious about how the Empire managed to hold on to it's power and holdings for long enough for the rulers to start being recognised as Emperors and Empresses. I know it's used in regards to India, but that's about the only place in the world where they're considered by such a title.

It doesn't seem to be. I'd have gotten sick by now if it were.

[ A reassuring grin. ]
