2 Jelly Bean // Video
[He's still a little crappy looking from his cold but like hell he's going to give himself a headache trying to type on the tiny SFC buttons. He has enough issues with his typewriter back home. He clears his throat, but when he speaks there's stilla deeper growl then usual. Oh well.]
Alright. Listen up, Vatheon. I think this cold's gotten to me cause I have a crazy question for you.
How many of ya are detectives? Amature or pro, I don't care. I jus' need a head count for who else in this bubble is insane enough to wanna help out.
If ya wanna keep the fact your a flatfoot hidden you can put one of those filters on the convo. I don't care.

[action] Signless will get drunk at some point... just not today
[He spots Eddie, recognizing him from the video feeds, and strolls up.]
Eddie? Signless.
[He offers a hand to shake.]
[action] I can not wait >3
Hn, I think I prefer slick.
[Troll names...weird.]
Nice to meet ya in person.
[action]
[Signless gestures at the casino.]
Shall we, then? I'll follow you.

[Plus it was a decently busy day. The staff should leave them alone. Even if it was obvious they were guests.
Best way to keep up an innocent air. Be obvious.
Also the table is up against the wall so no one can sneak up on them. Force of habit.]
What's your poison?
no subject
Red wine, please.
So... what is it you wanted to talk about?

After a moment to collect his thoughts he looks at Signless.]
Alright. This place is just...too perfect. Aside from the jokers that got dragged here. There's hardly anything worth gettin' my eye out for.
I wanna know anything you have on this place. Or the names of anyone who might know.
no subject
I know what you mean. I lived in a world of violence and danger too, and being somewhere without that takes some getting used to.
From what I've gathered, and this is mostly from talking to people who have been here longer than I, we're all part of an experiment. There are some kind of scientists watching us and recording our reactions, and how we respond to certain stimuli. Hence, the curses.
I'm told that sometimes the curses can be quite violent and dangerous, but so far, everything has been more of an inconvenience than anything else.

That's the crazy load of bull stick I've ever heard.
[But it makes sense. He wasn't a scientist at all. Aside from logic and a few bits of statistics he had to apply to the job of course.]
Makes sense. What's your take on all that coral crap then? Anything on that piece of turf?

[The waiter brings him another round but he just swishes the glass a bit.]
So. This place brings us here for energy. Okay I got that part. But it gives energy if you just go and make friendly with the coral.
...
Any one ever try to plug into that coral thing?

Isn't that what people have been doin' anyways? Recharging without havin' to get no shut eye.

Not sure if the locals will be up to letting you near it with any sort of machine. That'll be the only hard part.

Too honest.]
Yeah. And whose the one's givin' us all this stuff?

Now I dunno about you, but suddenly. I don't trust anything inside this bubble that I didn't have a hand in makin' myself.
no subject
I suppose that's one way of looking at it. But paranoia and anxiety about everything won't give you any answers. Likely, it will just make you feel worse.
no subject
And I feel just fine.
[Booze helps but he's been cutting down on that lately.]
I'm still not going to trust anything around here any more. Just in case.
no subject
[Signless smiles apologetically at him.]
I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. If I find out anything more about these topics, I'll be happy to contact you and let you know. If you want to pursue this idea about plugging into the coral, you should talk to Darkleer. He's an engineer and would be more helpful than myself.
no subject
[He frowns a little.]
Tiny? Really? Huh...
[A small pensive look before he shrugs.]
Yeah alright, I can see that. I'll wait on it. I wanna get more info on that coral itself.
no subject
[Okay, that is too funny, and Signless chuckles into his hand.]
no subject
Yeah. He hasn't complained.
[Out loud at least.]
