4th Swan's Flight // Video
[Immediately after turning the camera on, the prince sets it down and walks away. When he stops, it's at a distance from which one can see him fully, outfitted in complete royal attire. For him, this is merely a matter of formality, as he wishes to make a proper announcement. For others, the clothing might just seem to be what will turn out to be an appropriately theatrical gesture.]
Good evening! [He bows gracefully, but not too far, in the interest of keeping his crown on his head. That would hardly make the impression he wants. An old habit rises in him; it's been a while since he gave a speech, but he assumes the quiet confidence of tone and posture easily.] I would appreciate a few moments of your time... Truly, it isn't much, but I hope to make an offer some will find enjoyable.
[He holds a hand out, as if for someone to take it.]
I would like to give ballet lessons. The art of dance is a great source of inspiration and hope- one that many can find joy in.
[This city sees enough uncertainty as it is, and he thinks that dance would help overcome some of it. That is part of what he means by "hope."]
All will be welcome to attend! The class would merely be an introduction, and if you find it to your liking, it shall of course continue.
Please... [He clasps his hands loosely together over his chest.] Let me know if you are interested, and I will arrange a time in the near future.
[Filtered to Rue.]
And with that, my princess... Would you be willing to help me teach?
(OOC: Ballet lessons, yup! Pretty self-explanatory here, but there's also an OOC post.)

...Except not quite. Since her prince has always been far more social than her. More social than she'd even like at times; though she'd had many admirers, she'd never thought much about "friends."
Not until Ahiru; not until she came here.]
Well, I was not quite expecting this...but of course. I can certainly try, my prince.
[...a pause, and a playful smirk.]
That is, if you think we are good enough to match Mr. Cat.

Thank you, my princess! With your skill, I am sure we will have little trouble!
[He shakes his head, laughing softly.]
Even if we are not so skilled in that yet. We can learn to teach, can we not?

[She nods at that. There is always more to learn, and as much as she hated those lonely months without him, Vatheon has been nothing if not fascinating.]
And we will not need to ask for anyone's hand in marriage, either. Although we may need to practice...
[Just a bit.]

[Zelda loves music, but dance... seems... that means people are staring at your body, doesn't it?!]
It does sound lovely, but I am not so sure...
Video
[He smiles softly, hoping to show both concern and reassurance. It seems like it would be terrible, to him, for someone to wish to try dancing and yet be held back.]
May I ask what about it troubles you?

I have never had the opportunity for such lessons but I think I would love to learn about this art. Pardon my ignorance but I don't know your culture very well. What type of dance is "Ballet"?
[He lifts his hand above his head, pinwheeling them around each other- the ballet mime for "dance."]
Ballet is the kind of dancing that allows you to express your feelings with it. It is used to tell stories, and can be shared with many people... In practicing, one can also gain much grace and balance, as well.

Involve contact? Familiar with kinds that do, however name is not....
[ Video ]
[He stops for a moment, trying to puzzle it out, then nods.]
Ballet can involve contact with others, yes, though it does not always. However, even when you are not partnered with someone, a dance must be carefully coordinated with everyone on stage. It is a wonderful way to build... trust with others.
