[It's a peaceful, melodic sound, washing over the feed. The sound of lapping waves, the light, balmy breeze... and the distant sound of an aged man, moaning softly as the sand begins to shift.
As the view comes more into focus, a large furred husk takes up most of it, pushing himself up from the ocean's grasp to blink slowly at his surroundings.]
Where...?
[He stares for a moment longer, brow furrowing in thought, before his memories catch up with him - the Clock, the explosion...
His last words to Ratchet, and one last look at the pocketwatch he held so dear.
With a gasp, he quickly searches his own pockets, sighing in relief at the metallic feel, grateful to whatever force out there that it had still been in one piece. That, and his Praetorian Omniwrench, which laid a few feet from where he'd collapsed.
Considering this world was still in one cohesive piece, he knows that he'd successfully reverted his mistake. And... wherever he was now, this was where he was meant to be.
Except he hadn't expected death to be so... wet. The Lombax's ears droop over his shoulders, heavy with saltwater and dripping down to the sand. And that's where he spots the SFC, laying right next to his wrench. Curious at this little piece of machinery - certainly not Lombax build, that was for sure - he picks it up.
Hello, Vatheon. Meet the General.]

[text] I have done that before. NO WORRIES
[That wasn't sarcastic at all.]
[text] also cryptic text makes old war lombax fidgety EXCUSE HIM.
Leave Ratchet be.
[text] no it's okay really Izaya's a dick he probably deserves it haha
and nope. i'm his friend. you're really harsh you know that? it's not like i'd hurt him ever or anything. he's way too cute for that kinda thing
[text] alister bitches at anyone who disagrees with him. it's amazing ratchet kept up for that long.
So help me, if you're not keeping your word... if I see something's been done...
[Pot? Pot. Meet kettle. Hi kettle!]
Re: [text] alister bitches at anyone who disagrees with him. it's amazing ratchet kept up for that l
but i don't really need to worry about that
you just arrived in an unfamiliar location
and
you don't know who i am
so presumably you could take the safe assumption that the ratchet you know has been taken here as well
and has met me
it's not rocket science
it's not like we can contact people we know once we're here unless those people themselves are already here
duh
and sure, yeah, whatever, threaten me, that's a good idea. you won't get your face crushed in or anything. the one time i'm actually innocent-

Especially from someone who seems to get his kicks out of texting others, hiding behind a screen. I've faced an apocalypse, two of them, in fact, and fought against a creature that killed everyone around me.
No amount of words on a tiny communicator can shake me.
