5th Memory ✧ dream
Warnings: death and betrayal... and spoilers for ToI?
The demon is smiling. Soon his dream will come true. The world will return to what it once was. It will look just like in the stories his mother told him. There will be only one world and his beloved Inanna will help him make this wish come true.
His smile widens. Finally, after all those battles, after he became the Overlord, he will lead his people to the world of their dreams. Finally, the new, perfect world is in his reach. All he has to do now is to use the Power of Creation.
...But it takes only one moment to crush all his hopes, to destroy everything he believed in.
He’s been stabbed in the back with a sword. His sword.
He manages to turn around. It’s her. She did it to him. And she is begging for forgiveness now. Her hands are shaking and the beautiful eyes of the goddess are filled with tears. She claims that she had no other choice. That the world he wishes to created would be a world of chaos!
There is anger in his eyes... no it’s rage. She betrayed him. He loved her so much and she betrayed him. It doesn’t matter she cries now, it doesn’t matter she is begging for his forgiveness!
It doesn’t matter at all.
She betrayed him. She didn’t believe in him at all... She didn’t trust him at all. But he did. He loved her, he trusted her... he didn’t want to lose her!
And now he is dying. She stabbed him. Nothing matters anymore.
Betrayal hurts even more than dying.
And even Durandal, his companion... Even he wanted his death!
...In the end he couldn’t trust anyone, could he?
He was such a fool.
Without a second thought, with the rest of his strength he breaks the sword in two and stabs Inanna with it.
This is the end.
I was so foolish.
He feels as if his own soul is breaking apart, torn with despair.

When Ruca wakes up it takes him a long moment to realize that it was only a dream.
He shakes his head.
No, it wasn't only a dream. It was one of Asura's memories.
A memory he didn't really want to remember...

He shakes his head.
No, it wasn't only a dream. It was one of Asura's memories.
A memory he didn't really want to remember...
[ invisible for now, will respond soon-ish ]
He fingered the Dreamberry in his hands, wondering idly. He'd wondered if the dream was steeped in a memory much like his own nightmare; it certainly didn't seem like anything Ruca would have experienced, though. And the others in the dream...
In any case, it just goes straight back to the fact that Shing himself isn't sure what to say at this point. Would there be anything that would be appropriate here...?]
...seems like everybody's having nightmares, huh.
Ruca sighs heavily, then nods.]
...Yeah, it seems like that.

[he doesn't sound so sure about that, though.]

[he shakes his head, not like Roxas can see that.]
So don't worry. It was only... a dream, after all.
[the pause he made before saying the word "dream" makes it sound like it wasn't only a dream actually.]
Okay.
But, if you wanna talk about it or anything...
[he hesitates.]
I don't want to bother you...

[Voice]
Yeah... So don't worry.
[Voice]
[He couldn't see but Chitose was biting her lip. It wasn't a memory she was fond of either but she needed to attend to his needs first]
...I can't imagine what Asura-sama must have felt...
[Voice]
[Ruca knew what Asura felt. He knew it way to well.
But he doesn't answer anything. There are no words that could describe what he felt.]
[Voice]
Is there anything I can do to help?
