[ Upon telling a newcomer that they should introduce themselves to Vatheon on the network, the King of Knights realized she hadn't done that. She often avoids the network, preferring to meet face-to-face.

Now she has a reason to announce her presence. She's on the Defense Force, and would like to at least be recognized on the street when she's doing her duties and as someone who can help. ]

Greetings. I am called Saber, and I have been in Vatheon for a little over a month. I'd like to make it known that I am the Division Leader of the Pirate Quadrant for the Defense Force.

Hopefully, I may be able to meet more of the Defense Force members. And if you are not a member, do feel free to stop me on the streets if you wish to speak or would like help. I will assist you how I can. [ That's kind of limited to activities involving her sword, but regardless.. ]

I look forward to working with those on the Defense Force. [ And Saber's feed cuts off there, but she'll hop on the SFC quickly should someone reply. ]

Aye. It's a voluntary force where you can help out Vatheon by offering to patrol, heal, or research.

[ Across the link, Hilda will receive the files with the information about the Defense Force. Saber doesn't mind forwarding them. ]

I am here, so I may as well make use of my time productively.

What kind of things do you guys patrol for? Are there enough people here that crime happens all that often?

I have a feeling it's less to do with crimes and more to do with potential incidents. I have heard of monster attacks in the past, but I have yet to confirm it. The city was also flooded not along ago, and the Defense Force assisted with that.

[ Saber nods once, as she's thinking about it. The knight has been given limited information, so she'd like to acquire more so she can speak confidently. ]

Since I am new, I may not be the best to ask. I hope to learn more myself.

[ She nods. That would be an important thing to have a defense force around for, for sure. ]

I guess we're both still learning things about this place, aren't we?

..Hu? [ Is that a nickname? Saber has a feeling it is. ] If he is one of commanders at the Defense Force, then yes. I have really not met many members so far. I hope to fix that.

Oh, right! Hubert Ozwell. He's my roommate, and we fought things together back home!

Hubert Ozwell. [ The knight notes that. ] I take it you aren't on the Defense Force, then..?

[ There's a long pause as Saber looks intently at the screen, attempting to pry the woman for her name. ]

It isn't up to me to recruit. I am likely too ignorant to do a thorough job of it, as I am a new member. [ She frowns slightly. ] I was merely announcing my availability so I may assist others.

Thank you. Are you a member as well? I'd like to have your name. [ It's very hard for Saber to remember who is who without a number to put it on, so that's one of the first thing she always strives to gain from someone. ]

Ah, the science department. What does your research lie in? And pleasure to meet you, Washu. [ A quick bow of her head and shoulders. ]

Greetings, Dirk. Well met. [ The knight bows her shoulders and head briefly. ] What does "tech" include in Vatheon? Would that be security and weapons? [ A slight tilting of her head. ]

Both. If there's mechanics involved in it, I'm helping with it.

I am glad you have said that. Anything mechnical.. not one of my specialties, and on the rare chance it comes up.. I will be certain to ask you.

Ah, Saber. We fought side by side recently. It was a pleasure working with you then, and it will continue to be as I am a member of the Pirate Quadrant team.

We were not properly introduced as how we were in the heat of battle when we first met. I am Naoto Shirogane.

[ That's strange. Saber distinctly remembers Naoto's voice sounding quite different. Erring on the side of caution, the knight says nothing. ]

Ah, correct. During an attack is no time for introductions, then. Well met, Naoto. Thank you for bringing it to my attention that we'll be on the same team from now on. I look forward to working with you more.

[It shouldn't sound too different. She fashioned it to sound just like her own when using her masculine voice.]

As am I. I do hope that I did not put you ill at ease by my abilities during the battle.

Hm. [ Saber tilts her head slightly, looking at her device, before continuing. ] We all have our own capabilities and uses. It matters not how escalated they are as long as we put dedication into them.

[ The knight had been able to easily make up for where Angelo and Naoto needed help, but that was something she'd never hold against them. Not everyone was chosen by a magical sword to lead a country through ten years of constant strife. ]
