[It's been a while since Izaya's made a video. When the video clicks on, he appears to be crouched down and in front of some greenery. Presumably, he is on the island.

A smile.]

Hell-oh Vatheon. How are you all?

[That's a rhetorical question. He has better things to ask.]

I got a question for you creatures, monsters, trolls, humans, aliens, and everything in between-

[Dramatic pause for the effect-]

What makes the person that's most important to you be that person?

[His face scrunches up as if that doesn't sound quite right to him but. It's good enough.]

((OOC: I'm sorry for being delayed, if not bad, on my last open log. I don't have much stamina for logs and prose right now but I'm craving some interaction. This shouldn't be as shit-infested as my recent posts have been. Le promise~))

[ There's a bit of hesitation though before he speaks. Of course, when he does, he's looking away with a bit of a huff and the tiniest flush. ]

...Because. So shut up and stop asking stupid questions.

[...Oh Laharl. Why must you set yourself up so?]

Say, Laharl, I was thinking about it the other day. Y'know, I'm no one's special person.

[Heart breaking, he knows. But he's still grinning- a shit-eating grin becaaaause-]

But then a thought occurred to me.

In Vatheon anyway?

[ He was about to open his mouth, but then that grin and that statement comes up. Replace embarrassed snark with sudden look of momentary surprise. ]

[ And after a little fumbling with the SFC, he manages to filter his reply. He's gone quiet a moment, just a moment though because he's really thinking this through. We're talking about Izaya here. Izaya. The dude who taunted him day in and day out, the one who made fun of his height, got in his personal space, tried to kiss him...

...was merciful when he got rejected, took care of him during his sleep coma, took him in and put a roof over his head and gave him company, a familiar face in a city of strangers.

So instead of an outburst, he seems a little quiet. ]

...yeah. So what if you are...?

[Izaya's pretty amused at first. No, he's really amused. He loves to see how flustered Laharl could get. He loves to see how much he can make him react and squirm.

It's harmless fun mostly. He really does care for Laharl.

But then his amusement goes and his face takes an expression of serious contemplation. He blinks and then looks away from the camera. Laharl knows how bad Izaya could be. Well, maybe not to the full extent, but he's still a demon. He's always kind of just called Izaya weird but ultimately-

Hell. Laharl even had a crush on him- or thought he did- at some point.]

It's too bad you're not a little older. You'd make a totally good boyfriend.

[He smiles and it's sincere. He looks back at the camera and tilts his head.]

I've never been anyone's most important person.

[His smile becomes bigger and he looks really fucking happy suddenly.]

Remind me to give you a kiss when I get home~~.

[Smacking his lips at the camera now just to yank on Laharl a bit more.]

[ Had, has, who's to say it's something that never really went away? Maybe he was still trying to sort through it. Sharing room with a guy you may kinda sorta or are on the fence on liking never really helped.

Feelings are hard.

But he can only stay serious for so long. That fluster returns as does their conversation. ]

Boyfriend? What the hell are you talking about?

[ Another huff as he settles down, SFC perched somewhere so he's free to fold his arms across his chest. ]

Like I said. You get into any trouble or you go home without telling me and I'm gonna hunt you down and kill you.

[ That mention about the kiss though causes another fluster. ]

..w... whatever.

[Izaya figures this. I mean, it's kind of obvious. Laharl's never changed how he's acted around him. But at the same time, Izaya still doesn't take the crush too seriously.

After all. Laharl is just a kid. A cute kid. And a kid that he would actually bother to protect but...]

What, you don't know what the term 'boyfriend' means? You're not that stupid, Laharl.

[Grinning. Grinning, grinning, forever grinning.]

Okay, I'll try to stick around then. Anyway. I've got some pretty good ties here and have my roots deep down. I don't think Vatheon can rip me away just yet.

Especially not from my cute prince~!

[Laharl. Why you so cute. You do it to yourself. But then he becomes a little serious.]

Are you doing okay? I mean. You just woke up, so.

Of course I know what a boyfriend is! How stupid d'you think I am?!

[ He just never, considered himself, y'know... boyfriend material much less hear that coming from Izaya to begin with.

That grin is a sense of normalcy though. Meant everything wasn't about to change without warning. He hides the smallest smirk though. ]

...More like you better. Bad enough having ya sleeping forever. Not having you around's just stupid.

[ But he exhales, straightening back up. ]

Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. Stop fussing.

[ A beat. ]

...you better not have eaten my pudding while I was asleep.

Pretty stupid?

[That was a serious question, right.]

Don't remind me. I can't believe I had all of that time wasted just laying there. Jeez...

[He's going to fuss if he wants to, damn it. He is a big brother, after all, and Laharl is no exception to the rule of thumb.]

...I don't even like sweets, you idiot. You better not have gone through my stuff.

[ And another huff from that. ]

Hey, it's not like I wanted ta sleep! Same goes fer you. City's screwy enough without having ta knock us out.

[ Fine. Fuss away. If anything, it's gonna make Laharl like him even more though he's loathe to admit it.

But he gets a flareup from this accusation. ]

HOW THE HELL WOULD I BE ABLE TO GO THROUGH YOUR STUFF?! I WAS ASLEEP!

Oh yeah...

[He smirks a bit coyly but then says nothing more. At least for a little while.

His smirk fades entirely and he looks at the camera.]

Laharl, I'm going to go away for a little while, okay? I have something to do. You'll probably hear some things but try not to freak out too much.

Wh... what?

[ Okay, srstime. He's calmed but there's a bit of a confused look to him when he finally speaks. ]

Why? Where the hell're you goin'?

No where. Just elsewhere.....

[If he sounds vague and aloof- that's because he is.]

Anyway. Sola will probably be gone for a while too. Make sure Ion doesn't freak out. If the pieces are aligned accordingly...We'll disappear for a bit.

[ Yeah, well... part of the deal of him moving in was not to ask, not to pry, not to question. But then it was part of the Demon Prince's nature not to really question into other people's business. However, knowing it was Izaya meant at the very least that it was dangerous.

So as much as he wanted to... there would have to be no questions. ]

...Just get back here in one piece, you hear me?

[ No way, man. He doesn't care. He's not worried! Not in the least! ]

Will do, Laharl~.

[He's looking affectionately at you, Laharl, because you care and he can totally see that. You can't pass through the greatest observer of all time, silly.

Also, he's totally not telling you the full details because he's pretty sure you'd be upset.]

I could never leave you alone after all. What would you do? How would you survive!

[ He's totally kicking your ass when you get back, Izaya. Hopefully you get back in one piece because if you don't he's gonna put you together again just so he can rip you apart.

Because he cares. And doesn't like it when you get yourself beaten up by someone who isn't him.

You can totally tell from the blush because of how Izaya's looking at him, by the way. ]

Sh... shut up. Me and Ion are gonna be fine. Just... go. Do what the hell you're supposed to be doin'.
