[ What's up, Vatheon? It's your resident doctor-who-totally-isn't-Alpha come a-calling. Last we saw of him, he was battling off a fever or so during the last curse. Today, however, the feed is coming from his shared apartment with Mao. ]

I would like to take this time to announce that despite these unsettling events, I am still carrying on with my practice. However, as the clinic staff seems to be where the murderer is taking his targets, I'll be taking patients in my apartment starting tomorrow. Our hours are the same. Cielo, please report here in the morning. I can be found at Vita Apartments, fourth floor, room two.

Secondly, Shinra and I are going to be performing the autopsy of Cosette's body within the day. I am aware there are those who may find this information of use in any investigation and I will be more than happy to release the results as soon as they've been finalized.

For those I haven't had the pleasure of introducing myself to, I am Doctor Kazutaka Muraki, one of the city's resident physicians.

[ A bit of a pause there, pressing his fingertips together. Clearly, he's troubled. To the normal person, it would prolly be due to the fact that these were medical staff being attacked.

But this is Muraki. ]

I wouldn't dare go into speculation covering the absurd, however. But there have been disappearances in the city prior to this. Murders, however... a rarity.

Speculation is the first step toward uncovering the truth. Of course, though, it would be best that such conjecture remain within the realm of what is plausible. [ He shifts in his chair, apparently settling in. ]

You work at the clinic. So tell me, Doctor: can you think of any reason why someone might want to harm the staff?

[ Further pondering. Further mulling over. This was, truth be told, a delicate subject. ]

Perhaps it's too early to tell but it seems they're targeting the local staff. Cielo and I have yet to experience any impending danger toward our person. I can only guess someone with a personal vendetta against them.

That is similar to what I've been thinking--hence my question.

But I assume you aren't overly involved with the native nurses?

[ He has to ask, though--because who else is he going to question? All of the natives have fled. ]

[ A moment of consideration, however. ]

There are two of us here at the clinic. The Head Nurse and myself. We usually keep to our own devices, however. While I may have seen Cosette around from time to time, I can't say I know her personally.

I see. [ Frown. ] What do you think of the Head Nurse, personally? Does she seem at all suspicious to you?

I was rather partial to the previous physician myself despite the fact he was a touch disagreeable at times.

Suffice to say, there's something a bit... off-putting about the Head Nurse myself. Her cheerfulness. [ Bit of a look of distaste here. ]

[ Ah. So he doesn't like her. That expression says more than enough. ]

Truthfully, I would like to investigate her--and the clinic itself--further. But the fact that the nurses are nowhere to be found isn't exactly conducive to doing so.

[ Then again, he never did well with the Stepford Wife sort which the nurse seemed to fall under. ]

This was, admittedly, a touch surprising. I never did once see them miss a day of work. However, if there's anything an insider's viewpoint can help with then by all means. I would be more than happy to give any insight.

[ He nods. ] Thank you for offering, Doctor. I will be sure to let you know if I have any further questions.
