[Axel has been asleep for a little while, a little more than a week, actually, and when he finally wakes up he finds himself staring up at his ceiling, his vision blurry and body colder than it usually should be. Groaning softly he blinks a couple of times and then reaches out for his SFC which is thankfully still on the bedside table. With it switched on, he tries to figure out the date and the time, but his brain is kind of not functioning properly just yet.]

Mm. What day is it?

...And why's it so cold? Thought it was spring already.

[Nevermind that he isn't wearing his Organization coat right now either. Maybe that explains it.]

[For anyone that wants to bother him, Axel will be under his covers as a giant lump. He doesn't want to get up, but make him do it anyway.]

[He tries to catch his breath once Roxas lets up and soon he sits up to kind of glare at Roxas for a bit.]

Geez, you think you know a guy...

[He manages to stop laughing at the glare, but he can't get rid of the grin.]

I didn't even think you were ticklish.

[Axel sighs heavily and brings a hand up to his head to rub at his temples. He's been lying down for so long that he's gotten a bit dizzy.]

Well, at least you got me to get up, huh?

[Maybe one of these days he'll have to try that out on you.]

Mm, more or less.

[Sitting up at least, but still in bed.

And it would only be fair.]

[Thankfully Axel isn't one to push you out of bed, Roxas. He's not that big of a jerk...at least to you. He hopes.]

So-- [pause] --Anything happen while I was out?

[He'd probably forgive you if it turns out you are.]

Um... Well, I ran into Sora.

Yeah? [He brings one knee up to his chest.] How'd that go?

Well, I'm still here.

[So, automatically loads better than last time.]

And it's Sora, so- he hugged me.

Of course he would.

[It's so funny how different the two of them are. Axel runs a hand through his hair...and then automatically realizes that he wants to dump a full bottle of shampoo in it. Eugh. A week without washing his hair...

His disgusted face only lasts for a couple of seconds, though.]

Well, that's good, I guess. ...Are you two gonna be ok?

[Those spikes can be shampooed?]

Yeah, I think so. It's a little weird, but... [He shrugs.]

You should know, right? I mean, your Other's here, too?

[It's ~*~magic~*~.]

...Did you meet him?

Not yet. I just heard he was here.

Mm.

[...There's nothing terrible about Roxas meeting Lea. It's just that it's awkward, he supposes, having his past self, his real self, walking around for his best friend to see. After a beat he sighs and pushes back the covers a bit so that he can swing his legs and place them on the floor. He hasn't walked in a while, so we'll see how this goes.

And, no, he's not going to pursue the topic of his Other.]

[Roxas isn't going to press too far either. It was strange for him, having seeing Axel through Sora's eyes. It had been like a connection that was only half there, but at the same time it had been enough for Axel to give his life for. He can't help being jealous of that.

So he isn't sure exactly what Axel thinks of him meeting Lea.]

You guys at least get along okay?

Trying to.

[He's not in a bad relationship with Lea, but he's not in the best one yet either. Sometimes he just feels like maybe he worries too much or maybe Lea doesn't want to bother knowing him at all. It's a difficult situation.]

He's changed since he's been here, I guess.

Well, people do that, right?

[Not that Sora really has... at all. He has a hard time imagining Sora any other way, but, he's not sure it would bother him. Maybe he'd feel differently if he'd remembered Sora from the very beginning.]

Mm.

[Axel knows that, but--In Lea's case it's bothersome. That just means that he'll eventually become more like him. Then what? Will Axel even be Axel anymore? Or is he going to have to tolerate being just the shadow of someone else?

Just like Roxas, Axel would rather be his own person, even as a Nobody.]

Well, what can you do, right? [He shrugs.] We don't have any control over our Others, now do we?

[Roxas still isn't sure what precisely about that bothers Axel, but he nods.]

Right... Just like any other two people.

[He sighs.]

Anyway. [glancing away now] You'll get along fine with Sora. He likes everyone, right?

Yeah. I'm not really worried about getting along.
