[ the feed begins with the camera on the communicator facing towards the sky, as if it was turned on by accident. it's a bit shaky, and it's quickly apparent that it's on something that's moving. ]

This place is pretty weird, huh Samurott? It's like we're in a huge bubble! Kinda reminds me of those ruins we explored last month. 

[ a quiet grunt of agreement comes from the thing she seems to be riding. she picks up the communicator and looks into the camera, fiddling with it a bit. ] This thing is on, right? Uh... if it is, hi there! I'm Hilda and this is Samurott, my partner Pokemon. [ she turns the feed around, showing the head of the creature. it turns it's neck and gives a nod before continuing to walk. ]

We're not sure what we're doing or how we even got here, to be honest! If anyone could fill me in, that'd be awesome. Thanks!

[When the feed turns on, there is a glimpse of Motochika sat on the beach with his shamisen at his side before the entirety of the feed is taken up by an Oshawott's face.]

Takumi, come here.

[Somewhat reluctant Takumi does, settling onto Motochika's lap, where he continues to watch the feed with unwavering attention. Motochika regards her Samurott with interest before he speaks.]

[He smiles as he rests a hand upon the crown of Takumi's head.]

[That desperation isn't missed, and so Motochika adds:]

[He huffs a laugh at her last comment.]

Oh. Still, that's really great! I haven't seen an Oshawott since Samurott here was a baby. Remember that? [ she turns to give the Pokemon a pet on the head, and it nods with a smile. ]

I guess I gotta get used to it either way, huh?
