You say that, but you're not a troll. And yeah, I'm not a typical troll by any means - I don't want to be anymore - but it's not like I can just cast that aside all at once. Trolls are supposed to be strong and impenetrable. Showing off feelings like that is tantamount to a well-worded plea to get hurt, if not culled outright. We're raised for galactic conquest, two of our quadrants are based on hate, the terms friend and enemy are expressed with the same word in our language, and the closest caring relationship you can have with another is based on pitying them for all their faults - and the trust that you can show them your weaknesses without being stabbed in the back for it, literally or figuratively. It's why I try to act like I couldn't give less of a shit about anyone.

That's... pretty much unthinkable for trolls, especially against one of his caliber. The Signless led it too, and there were other ancestors who helped, and humans, but...
