Wakey, Wakey, Selphie!~

*So Selphie might look a little sleepy, and her hair's a little more tousled than usual. But at least she's sitting up in bed, even if she is still in her pyjamas. Yes, she's been dead asleep for over a week now, but she always still finds herself exhausted at the end of it. It's happened a couple of times now, and she's not really surprised*

 

Whoa... A new year and I've slept for most of it already! Boo!

[She braces for the worst, thinking the plate is going to break...but hearing no large crash, she peers over the sink to see the damage.

Luckily, it's still in one piece somehow. Phew.]

Watch it, okay? Y'don't wanna hurt yourself.

*Selphie just giggles nervously and resumes cleaning the plate*

Heh...Sorry... I guess it was just slippy..

[Heh. Yukari giggles a little too, putting a hand on her shoulder as a calming gesture.]

It's okay...

[As long as she is, anyway. She doesn't look hurt.]

Had you forgotten? [About v-day, that is—]

*If Selphie looks panicked, it's only for a moment. But then she does her best to do a casual shoulder shrug*

Oh, yeah, but uh..that's okay!

[She doubts everyone here even knows about V-Day in the first place, so...really, she's not judging. She merely gives a nod of understanding.]

'Course. No big deal. I wonder if Kenshin even knows what it is...

K-Kenshin?!

*Oh gosh, now Yukari is mentioning V day in connection with Kenshin. Selphie knows that the video was broadcast everywhere but still.. it's all so knew*

Ahaha...yeah... I think so.

[Awww...she remembers that broadcast well.]

Good! Then...I'm sure he'll be looking forward to spending it with you.

*Selphie is blushing!! She lowers her face down towards the bowl where she was finishing the washing up*

Oh, I don't think he's into those sorts of things...

[Don't hide, Selphieeeee, gosh. Yukari thinks it's cute...and besides, she's lucky she has someone like that.]

...He might make an exception for you, though! Ya never know.

*She clears her throat and bites her lip, shaking her head tightly*

No. I don't think so.

*And she really didn't. Kenshin had no idea about kissing, let alone romance... any of it*

...Fine.

[Mmph. Yukari frowns a bit at the negativity, when Selphie's usually so cheerful. But she shrugs.]

But either way, he cares about you a lot, so... good luck.

*Selphie turns to Yukari then, her eyes bright and her cheeks flushed. She was right- Kenshin did care about her a lot, and even if they whole thing was kinda scary, it made her really happy too*

How bout you? Valentine's plans?

O-Oh, y'know... [Wow, this got turned around on her right quick.] Not really...

*She's about to say something else when the oven starts making a noise*

They must be ready!!

[tsundyne]

[THANK GOD FOR DISTRACTIONS.

She perks up immediately, glancing over at the oven.]

Oooh! Let's take a look!

*Selphie rushes over to oven with a pot holder in her hand, and she slowly and carefully opens the door to reveal the cookies. She takes a deep, deep breath before sliding them out, but she closes her eyes, too scared to look!*

[Yukari doesn't fare much better. She's got one eye closed as she peeks; and though the cookies are a bit on the dark side--]

...They don't look burnt...

They're not all black and broken!

*Cause while some were pretty brown, they still had kept their shape nicely*

Awesome! We did it!

[SIGHING IN RELIEF. Yeeess!]

That's great!

[She clasps her hands together, as she exhales.]

I can't wait to show them off. Do you have a container or anything I could put my share in?

*Selphie's so excited, and she dances around the kitchen while she goes looking for something. She finally finds a really pretty decorated box*

Here, use this! It used to have...uhm... I can't remember what they're called, but some kind of tasty thing with a strawberry in.

[...Ooh, strawberry! Oh, no, she doesn't mind that at all. So she takes the container with a smile.]

Thanks! [And she starts to put some of the cookies in, until it looks like a decent amount. For both of them, of course.] That should be enough.

*Selphie peers into her box, just to make sure she definitely has enough*

You could always make some more, heart shaped ones, for someone special for Valentine's day...

*Nudge, nudge*

[Wow she has no idea who you could be talking about!!!]

N-no, that's okay. You should keep them! [nervous chuckle] It's still over a month away anyway...

[She's satisfied with the amount she has--]

*Selphie giggles* At least this was good Valentine's practise, right?

*She smiles at Yukari and gives a melodramatic wink*

[IF...SHE SAYS SO. Yukari giggles a bit nervously yet again, scratching her head a bit.]
