I've been here for a few weeks now, and I've started to wonder a lot of things.  Are there any other kids here?  I haven't met very many.  What about a school?  Is there anything like that here?

I don't think there is a school here! That doesn't seem right, does it? Not that I ever went to a school myself, but it sounds like it would be fun.

I said it already, didn't I? I wear them because I like them.

[Better than finding out that the reason he wore them was to keep Ran from realizing that he was identical to another boy she knew as a child. Or discovering the concealed night vision, tracker, transmitter, zoom, and bug receiver.]
