[It starts off slow, quiet, and still, a grey and eerie fog settled over a dark background filled with absolute nothingness, before suddenly--]

I'll kill you...I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!

[The voice is raw and loud as it rips through the open and steel-cold air and somewhere in thedistance you may encounter a sudden burst of heat. It intensifies, white hot and blistering, until finally reds and yellows explode into vision and reveal hellish destruction--Flames several feet high engulf some nondescript world filled with broken pieces of castles and skyscrapers, ashes rain down from dark clouds above, and amidst the bitter scent of smoke and blood is Axel, standing with his gloved hands gripping tightly onto both sides of his head.

There's little sound, nothing but crackling and the swish of fire, but if you look closer or if you approach him suddenly he'll exclaim again with that same raw voice.]

GET BACK!!!

[Perhaps you'll persist or maybe you'll only stare from the outside in, but either way he'll scream at you and his flames will burn brighter, until finally Axel darts his head up to reveal once bright green eyes now glazed over with nothing but lifeless amber. Voices invade his mind, the sound of people screaming, people laughing, crying--

...No one would miss me.

And from there all he can do is destroy just as everything else has done to him.]

[Distress and anger written all over his face, Axel can't escape from his dream on his own. So, please, wake him if you wish.]

((OOC: Please state in your subject line if you want to interact with him in this dream! If that's the case, you'll most likely be hit with a barrage of dangerous attacks until Axel wakes up, because this dream is his subconscious mind revealing most if not all of his pent-up anger with friends and his past, and therefore he'll be violent and "berserk," as it were. Amber eyes represent something pretty hard to explain in KH-verse, but I thought they'd look kind of cool on him. |D If you choose to just watch, feel free to wake him up or, if you wish, barge into his room to shake him awake before he hurts himself one way or another~ Thank you!))

[Roxas takes a breath and then goes to join Axel by the window. He still doesn't stand too close, but he's there. He glances up at his friend and then just looks out.]

...mind if I stick around a little while?

[They don't have to talk about it. He's not sure he wants to right now either. But you're not getting rid of him that easy.]

[Even though the hints are subtle, they're there and very obvious to Axel, being Roxas' best friend and all. He can understand why the kid would want to keep some distance between them and why he'd want to 'stick around' even for a little bit.

After all, between friends it doesn't take much for someone to get the message, right? Axel's always preferred vagueness in that respect, really.

He nods after a beat, eyes still focused out the window.]

There's no sunset to watch, though.

That's okay.

[There's no ice cream either, and no clocktower, but it's still the two of them. He's sure that's the part they both missed.

Roxas isn't as good as picking up on the subtle things. He's not sure if him being there is any comfort to Axel, but he hopes it's something. He's starting to feel better himself. A bit.]

[No ice cream and no clock tower. It almost feels like a crime to be talking to each other about so many things without their usual routine, but it's not like they have any other choice. At least they still have each other, right?

Axel sighs. Being down here has made him feel so restless lately, and that's not just because of the dreams and the other bothersome events. He still can't get over the idea that he was taken from a time at which he had to accomplish something. He has unfinished business back home.]

We should look for a high place around here, though.

[Roxas leans a little closer to the window, scanning over what he can see as if to find a new place right then and there. But, he doesn't expect to spot anything. Mostly it's just a whim.]

Yeah. We- should start doing that again.

[It was a good routine. Something to look forward to at the end of every day.]

[Sure, Axel's been here for a while now, but he hasn't found a high enough place for him.]

There's always the rooftops, I guess.

[Roxas nods in agreement.]

We'd still get some kinda view.

...Think Xion would wanna come along? [It's a stupid, rhetorical question, but Axel wants to fill the silence somehow.]

[It is a stupid question, but Roxas answers it anyway.]

Mm. We should invite her, once we find a good spot.

[He nods and then glances over at Roxas finally.]

Have you been talking to her much?

Some.

[He shifts a little uncomfortably because lately, that's been about the nightmares.]

I still- can't remember her though.

Neither can I.

[But in that dream, he swore that there had been bits and pieces of it that were familiar. All that rage--Where had he used that before? Axel shakes his head. It's probably nothing.]

I kinda doubt that we ever will.

I remembered you.

I mean- I know it's not the same, but...

[But he's been hoping it sort of would be anyway. That the memories would come back with something to jog them. He doesn't want to think they're completely lost to him.]

That's right. It's not the same.

[Or at least he'd like to think that that's the case. Xion isn't Roxas and she isn't even a Nobody. So her memories might not work the same way. He folds his arms on the windowsill and hangs his head.]

I'm just tired.

[Roxas looks over at Axel for a moment.]

...we'll be okay.

[There's a lot that's complicated and confusing right now, and even sort of painful. But he doesn't get the sense that he's running out of time to work it out like he did before. The three of them just need time, right?]

[He's silent for a moment but then he nods with an affirmative hum. He's tired, yeah, but he doesn't want to be all mopey about stuff with Roxas around.]

Yeah. Just give it time, y'know?

[Roxas smiles very faintly at that and closes the remaining distance between them, giving Axel a light bump with his shoulder as he leans on the window sill.]

Yeah. Exactly.

[He glances over towards that little bump before he bumps right back, softly, though, because he doesn't feel like making the kid topple over.]

...It's good to have you around, Roxas.

[Thanks for that. He doesn't feel like toppling over either.]

I'm glad you're here, too.

You're not just saying that, right? [Playful]

Don't think I'd be here if I was.

[There's a long pause before he bumps Roxas with his shoulder one more time.] You're crazy.

[Another soft smile.]

Yeah, probably. Maybe we both are.
