Sometimes the truth can be something terrible! Personally, I find things like that can lead to some very juicy stories.

If it's something terrible, it should be shared. If your friends or family don't understand, you'll never have a true partnership. If it's something you've done, hiding it just makes it worse when it finally comes out.

If someone knows something they think might ruin their relationship, I don't see a reason to keep that relationship. It doesn't sound like much of it is based in trust.
