[Before the feed starts, in the vicinity of the Lower District, you might hear a loud explosion. Okay, well, it's not terribly big, but in a relatively peaceful bubble-shaped underwater dome, it's rather noticeable. If you're really close by, you'll even see the roof of a tool shed go flying in the air before landing unceremoniously somewhere.

But like any explosion it all ends rather quickly. The silence holds for a beat before a panic-stricken Rinoa comes onto the SFC.]

Sorry! So sorry! Please don't panic if you heard, heard all of that! That was just me.

[Behind her, there are the remains of a now very charred and destroyed tool shed. Luckily Rinoa doesn't seem to be harmed; she's more embarrassed than anything.]

I'll, um, try to pay for damages and stuff. [Good thing she got that job.] Can't believe this happened. I wasn't even aiming at the shed...

((ooc: Rinoa is trying to get a hold on her powers. Needless to say, she's not off to a stellar start.))

[Blinks at her in confusion.] Miss, what were you trying to do, can I help you with anything?

[She laughs a little nervously.]

Practicing my magic, or trying to. I got a little overzealous.

I can see that, you should be more careful though. You wouldn't want to hurt yourself by accident. [Or others.]

I think I just got a little ahead of myself. No one else was around; this area's not really populated. But yeah, I might have to suck it up and go in the forest next time. Or find a teacher.

Well, it's good to know no one got hurt. What kind of magic were you practicing? I am familiar with some kinds of magic. Maybe I could help you.

Lots of different kinds. Sorceresses seem capable of wielding just about any type of magic.

That is quite interesting, Miss. I am most familiar with ofuda magic. And I'm also a Kagetsukai.

I haven't heard of ofuda magic, or what a Kage-too-soo-kee is.

I apologize, I thought you might know of them. These are both kinds of magic used in Japan. Ofuda is related to the spirits, and is used to seal, exorcise or summon spirits or spiritual entities.

Kagetsukai is the title for a Shadow Master. This type of magic allows the user to control shadows.

[Oh, hey! She's heard of Japan!]

Japan is on Earth, right? I've heard about it, a little.

I've never heard of magic related to spirits like that. If it can be done in my world, I don't know anything of it. That sounds kind of cool, though.

Yes, it's on Earth. Where are you from, Miss?

Thank you, it can be very useful.

Definitely not from Earth. [Read as: her canon never game her world a name, herp.] But a friend of mine from home lives with someone from Earth.

Interesting, I was not aware there were inhabitated worlds beyond Earth. Is your own world very different from this place?

Oh definitely. I've met a few people not from my world, and I don't think they were from Earth.

Quite different. My world isn't underwater, for one thing.

It's certainly interesting to see the existance of so many different world. And meeting people from different points in time.

[He smiles.] There must not be that many worlds underwater.

It is kind of neat. Suppose it's a nice trade-off for being stuck here.

Underwater worlds are a bit impractical, if you think about it. I dunno how they maintain this city.

[He nods.]

I believe it's the coral what keeps the city like this.

That's what I heard. Super-powerful coral... that's a first.

[Nods.] Very unique.
