[ Hey, guess who's on the video this time? A certain blonde angel - or someone whom others don't know who is an angel, sitting on his bed, while a self-levitating, strange-looking, purple sword slowly rotates in place, the point of the sword pointing downwards. Mithos glares at it, as if having a silent conversation with it. ]

You really can't take us home, can you?

[ Mithos accuses, while the sword makes no response. Why is he talking to it? Does it even talk back? Who knows. ]

[ Mithos answers, sighing shortly after. ]

Who do you think the "Mithos" all of the other Summon Spirits were talking about was? How did you think I knew my panpipes would summon Aska?

Your panpipes can summon Aska?

[The note of surprise is genuine in Lloyd's voice. That hadn't happened until just after the point of time he's from, so he didn't know about it.

He pauses then, hesitating. What is Mithos getting at?]

Who do I think "Mithos" was? Well, he was probably Mithos the Hero, right?

[Why does it feel like he's missing something important?]

Never mind.

[ Jeez, Lloyd, he didn't think he could make it any more obvious. ]

[Lloyd gives Mithos a strange look for a moment, still feeling like there's something he ought to have caught, but really, who thinks to connect a timid half-elf teenager with a mythic hero from four thousand years ago?]

Okay...

[Oh well. Whatever. It's probably not all that important anyway.]

So, you thought that sword could take you home? I had no idea it was powerful enough to do something like that.

It did a lot more than that in our own world.

[ That's why Mithos isn't ready to blow his cover. Yet. ]

Wow, I guess we really underestimated you, Mithos. If you can wield a sword like that and made a pact with Origin, I bet you're really strong!

[He has no idea.]

Hey, when we get back to our world, why don't you come with us on our journey?

I offered to help fight once. You said no.

[ He could have solo'd those Desians, Lloyd. ]

Yeah, but I didn't think you knew how to fight, and you got hurt pretty bad when Cruxis attacked Ozette.

[Really, Mithos had done a pretty good job of making himself look weaker than he was.]

Well, yeah.

[ Even he can't take a direct hit from the Ray of Judgment. Nobody could. ]

Cruxis isn't exactly weak.

No kidding...

[He pauses now, glancing at Mithos with open curiosity and maybe a hint of measuring up. If Mithos can actually use that sword...]

Hey, you wanna spar sometime?

[ He can't be serious.

Can he? ]

You sure you wanna do that, Lloyd?

Sure, why not? It'd just be for practice, right? And I could get a feel for how good you really are.

[He isn't thinking that they might ever seriously fight.]

I'm warning you, Lloyd. I'm probably lot stronger than you think.

[ Especially since, technically speaking, he's already kicked your ass twice. ]

Then I'll just have to work even harder! And maybe you could teach me some things! Don't underestimate me, though, Mithos. I might be stronger than you think.

[He refuses to be worried either way. After all, Mithos is his friend. He wouldn't really try to hurt Lloyd, right?]

[ Somehow, he highly doubts that. ]

So, is it a deal? We'll spar sometime just for fun?

[ Oh, Lloyd... well, this will probably reveal who Mithos is, but. ]

Sure, if that's what you want.

Great! Give me a few days, though. I'm trying to work on a new technique.

[More than just a few days, really, but he doesn't yet know about the disastrous turn of events that is about to envelope his lift.]

[ How's he gonna explain this one to Colette? ]

[Cheerfully oblivious to the dilemma he's stuck Mithos in, Lloyd offers a wave, then hangs up.]
