[Ky knows -- or feels -- that he has to say something about the recent deaths, since it isn't as though he hasn't been trying to talk to the people involved and work out a method of achieving justice. It's just that the parties involved seem very insular and inclined to deal with it with on their own, rather than seeking any actual way out of the cycle of violence.]

It may seem that what we do here only has minimal consequences, but the trauma of death isn't reduced by the fact that we come back, and the burden on our soul isn't diminished simply because we may not remember what happens here.

This place simply gives us more opportunities to do right.

Is anyone here familiar with the process of exorcising demons? If you have any experience or expertise in the matter, I'm greatly interested in discussing it with you.

Obviously if you can't assure the health and well-being of the possessed then I'd still like to hear about it, but it wouldn't be practical.

[He adds that even though the well-being of the possessed is the driving reason behind an exorcism, because Serph had seemed particularly concerned about it, and Ky will admit that he can't necessarily trust the motives of everyone here.]

I am not sure this is a demon. It's a transformation for battle, yes, but the person inside is still quite capable of thought. Have they expressed a desire for an exorcism?

The person it is possessing described it as a demon, yes, and we've talked about the possibility of removing it. I lack the expertise, which is why we agreed that I would ask other people.

Hmm. In that case I suppose pacifying it so that it does not harm its host during the process would be the first step, wouldn't it? I know a song that is capable of doing as such.

What will you contain it in? Once it's removed from the body, you'll have to contain it. I'm not sure that even a demon could escape Vatheon, so returning it to the underworld is not an option. Killing it is not an option either, it is a foreign entity and would simply resurrect. Have you prepared something?

Not yet. My world doesn't have the demon problem that it sounds like yours does.

That's why I wanted other people's input, as to what would work.

Given that your suggestion is singing to it, I'm not sure how...applicable your expertise is.

It seems more an effect of your own magic than the particular nature of the song.

Consider it a way to focus the power if you must. It does work. Now then, on to a containment vessel? We could enchant something that already exists and bless it, I suppose. Add some runes to the side of it for stability...

Does the size of the container need to be the demon in its full form?

Oh, certainly not. Even an amulet would suffice. A demon that can possess someone is mostly a spiritual entity, anyway. We will not be able to kill it outright in Vatheon, so the containment unit is mostly a physical way to keep track of it.
