Today's special is crab-shaped bread!

It's not too big, barely larger than a hamburger bun, but it's fresh, given the steam coming off it. ]

Isn't it cute? I finally got the shape to work right and bake properly! I made some in French bread, sourdough, and cinnamon raisin. I also made a few smaller ones stuffed with berries!

[It takes some time to get there, but once he does, there's now a little kid that is pushing the door open, not quite enough to allow himself in as he simply looks inside curiously.]

I have all kinds of crab bread! What would you like?

Um...well, which kind do you think is the best to eat?

[ oh hard choice. ]

Ve, how about the ones stuffed with strawberries?

[Strawberries are a good choice!] Ohh~! Yes, I wanna try that one!

Sure~ [ he pulls a small crabbie from the cabinet. It's steaming hot and fresh. Italy offers it to her ]

[Thankfully his hand puppets make it a little easier to hold hot things...but he doesn't bite into the bread right away, just looking it over at the cool shape of it.] How'd you get it to look like this?

Ve, my pleasure!

I shaped it before I baked it~~~

[Looking at it some more--oh my gosh, it's almost too cool to eat.]

You're really good at shaping things then, 'cause it really does look like a crab...like one you'd find on the beach... [And then he's making crab sound effects (the "snap, snap" of a crab moving it's pincers) as he moves the bread back and forth, trying to make it look like a crab walking around in the air in front of him.]

Is it? [Stops moving the bread like a toy now, looking up curiously.] D'you think I would be able to do something like that too if I tried?

Si, si [ Italy nods. ] It takes practice, but I could teach you~~~

Oh? You really wouldn't mind showing me how to make them?

[ Italy nods. ] Sure, I'd be happy to~

Well, thank you Mister...um...oh, what's your name? [He had nearly forgotten to ask, silly us.]

My name's Italy. What's yours?

Italy? [Isn't that the name of a country? That's kind of interesting. He holds a hand up as the handpuppet excitedly waves a little at him.] Well, I'm Reisuke Houjou! Nice to meet you, Italy-san!

Yeah, that's right! [lol not saying anything about girls, he's too young to even care about that...let alone caring about other people, but he just laughs] It's really fun and there's lots of things to do there...and lots of interesting people too!

Si, it is fun! I've visited Japan's house a few times~~ His place is really pretty and his people have really nice art and architecture~
