[Ky's hand brushes the tattoo above his left eyebrow. There's nothing there to feel, but that hasn't stopped him from trying to. He feels substantially less in control than he did the last few times he's addressed Vatheon. Perhaps because he is.

He's discovered that he can make himself still look human, can make the tattoos fade with a concentrated thought, make his eyes look normal, but that hasn't change the hunger he feels. If he is a monster, then better that he looks it, even if it adds to the uneasiness that he feels in his own skin.]

It might be a good idea to get a list of those of us that believe we might be a danger to others. As much as I would like to simply stay in my apartment for the duration of this curse, that's not possible.

[In fact, he's not there now. He'd hoped that touching the coral would somehow help, but it hadn't. Now he's trying to put off going to the clinic and asking for blood to...eat.

He pauses for a moment, then adds something that he hopes doesn't reflect reality, but should be voiced now anyway. He considers filtering it to the Defense Force, but this is sort of all of Vatheon's business, and the people who were fighters before might not be now.]

As well, we should be careful of the not necessarily dismissible possibility that this sort of thing is the opportunity a hostile force has been waiting for.

[With that he's done, letting his eyes fall shut for a moment as he finishes up the transmission.]

((ooc: Ky is a djinn from Supernatural, which means he has a sort of touch telepathy that will result in the character he touches going into a coma and hallucinating waking up in a world where their greatest wish has been fulfilled. They will remember all aspects of their current life, and time will seem to pass for them much faster than it actually is passing. So that's the optional action part, and Ky's instincts will probably take over to have him reach out if your character gets close to him.))

[Ratchet appears on the camera. His fur is lighter than usual, moving from golden yellow to something almost dandelion colored. His eyes seem to shine as well as he tilts his head at the camera.]

So what kind of funky thing did you get stuck with?

[Impassive. Unhappy. Both of those fit somewhere into Sol's expression as he sets an arm over one knee, the other presumably folded underneath himself. Not that it shows, he's been feeling a little uneasy; probably as close to ill as he's been in decades, but this? Seeing things? Nah, he knew he wasn't. His head wasn't bothering him. But Hell, he never was good with pharmacology or any of that; not that kind of doctor.]

[Hallucinogenics. Wide-spread--could be. Or something more difficult to pinpoint. The kid looks like he's been converted, which is the thing that pings any sense of anxiety Sol's still able to feel. So what about Dizzy?

[Ky sighs. Thinking that this is something messing with his head instead of both his head and his body isn't really all that helpful as far as these things go.]

In order to actually be a hallucinogen, it would have to be somehow...linked, since I'm guessing that I see myself to look the same way that you're seeing now.

[Sol just makes a non-committal noise. Theoretically, a hallucinogen could be manufactured that would affect a wide-area and influence thought, though it'd be less concentrated and far from consistent. He doesn't bother bringing that up.

Not close enough to determine if he's human or not, so he can't comment on that thought. Humanity, he'd say, isn't determined by what you are. Frederick would say. Sol's not sure what he'd say.]

[In a familiar way, anyway. His senses aren't on edge, but that doesn't explain the ill feeling in his gut. Unless it all just goes back to a well-crafted hallucinogenic gas that the Gear in him can stave off and translate into some killer nausea. It's plausible, but then why would he be seeing Ky the way he is? Scratch that.

Sol busies himself out of frame, pulling out a cigarette. Once lit, his attention returns to Ky--what you could call attention, anyway.]

Just because nothing feels hostile now to you doesn't mean that it isn't, or couldn't be. We don't understand this place, and the threat could come from within as easily as from without.

[Particularly this change, the threat that Ky knows is inside of himself.

If the coral can change him like this, where there's nothing benevolent about it, then there's certainly nothing that Ky can point to say that it is good, that it wants to help them. Ky knows that Zelda sees it that way, but Ky regards the coral itself with a wary cautiousness on the best days, and this is certainly not one of those.]

Of course I am. I could really hurt someone like this, I think.

[If Ky were to turn around, he'd see a certain tall blond standing just out of arm's reach. He looks less than pleased, and perhaps even a little more menacing than before now that he has red eyes. That eye symbol is probably a tad unsettling as well.]

[Ky shifts, after a little while, with a little sigh. When he glances around hazy dream memories shift and readjust. The red eyes don't disconcert Ky too much, since he knows Sol and Jade, and he tries to muster up a polite smile. It doesn't have the usual force behind it.]

[Zelda hasn't looked at her SFC much during this curse, too occupied with the fact that she has wings. It feels so right, being in the air. Flying on her own is even more exhilarating than when Lysunder had taken her flying. If she needed any confirmation that her people belonged in the sky, this was certainly it. She lands by the coral gracefully to take a reading for the day and lets her golden wings dissipate back into the crystal, glancing over her shoulder when she notices Ky.]

Goodness. Do you have any idea what you became, Ky?

[She most certainly is an angel, at least for now. Zelda doesn't need to eat, she doesn't need to sleep, and she can fly. If not for the fact that the Triforce was missing, she would quite enjoy staying this way forever. She approaches Ky to get a better look at the markings, trying to see if it's anything familiar to her.]

I'm afraid I haven't seen anything quite like it either. You shouldn't assume that it's bad merely because it is different, though.
