[The moment the curse ended, the scent of a large amount of darkness can be picked up by anyone sensitive. It lingered close to the residential area before winding up in the plaza. If anyone was curious to follow their nose, they will find him perched on top of a building.

He wasn’t the only thing hanging around though. A few of his Floods were scuttling  across the plaza to attack anyone who crosses their paths.]


If someone were to take something that belongs to you, would you take it back?

[Congrats Roy! You leveled up!

Let’s see how you handle the next batch. Heads up, Mustang. Some annoying suckers were flying over head. And to back them up there were these very large guys ready to belly bounce or try to plow through anyone in the area.

Vanitas was finally turning his full attention on the fight below. Pausing to respond to a text now and then.]

[The birds were nothing to him but minor annoyances, taken out with pinpoint fire attacks as he avoided the attacks by the larger creatures. Once he'd dealt with the aerial assault, he'd turned his attention to them and they fell as well under an unforgiving assault of flame.

As the last fell, he scanned the area of the plaza looking for anyone which might be responsible for the monster's appearance.]

[Looks like this guy was just a one trick pony. He could keep on creating them indefinitely, but it was going to get boring fast.

Not high enough, idiot. He created a Yellow Mustard Unversed. It floated down from where Vanitas was. Like Lightning, Roy? This guy likes zapping and slamming in to people.]

[The first unexpected jolt stung, but once he knew what the new arrival was capable of, he was capable of nailing it with fire, just like its fellows beforehand. Once it fell, he turned his attention to where it came from and decided to deal with it's possible master via raising the oxygen density in the general region it originated from.

He didn't want to accidentally kill the person responsible for the monster's just yet, but the change in oxygen should make them dizzy enough to give away their exact location or perhaps even tumble down to his own location and enable him to take them into custody for questioning.]

[His plan would have been brilliant if it wasn't for his helmet being on. He was in a new world and wearing it was pretty standard for him.

He opened a portal to step through. Roy might be able to catch a bit of that swirling darkness before it vanished.

Don't worry though! Another swirling bit of darkness will appear a healthy distance behind Roy. Startling someone who can randomly combust you was not on Vanitas' priority list.]
