Ah... I seem to have gotten a handle on this device... I think...

[Ioder peers closely at the SFC in his hand, head tilting slightly to the side thoughtfully. For all his confusion, he looks slightly bemused. His first couple of weeks in Vatheon have been... interesting, to say the least.]

My cousin, Estellise, informed me that I should make an introduction here. My name is Ioder and-- I've never kissed anyone, not in the 18 years I've been alive--

[The bemused expression is gone in a flash, replaced by wide green eyes and hands over his mouth, voice coming out muffled behind them]

O... oh... so this is that curse-- Sometimes when I'm alone, I sing silly songs to myself to pass the time, because days in the palace were just that lonely--

[His hands clench tighter, eyes closing. Eventually he manages enough composure to reach forward...]

Ahem! Attention purrlease!

Efurybody's getting furlustered ofur this curse so I though purrhaps a distraction would help! I've been talking to lots of people about human families and Miss Lily put up that diagram about it but it's furry furry diffurent furom what it's like fur trolls, so I drew a diagram of my own to help efuryone who's not a troll understand how it works fur us!

[The camera pans to a large painting on her wall, done in brownish-red and black and a bunch of colours in between (don't ask her where her paints come from).]

[A pointer appears out of nowhere as she starts to explain.] This is a troll ofur here. You can tell he's a troll beclaws he's got horns, although all trolls have diffurent kind of horns! This one has cute ones like Karkitty. Uhmm, but it's not Karkitty of course beclaws he'd kill me if I used his picture fur this! It just didn't turn out well enough to be on my shipping wall so I thought I'd use it fur something else.

[Whoops. Blushing green now.]

Moving on! Troll relationships are divided into four quadrants! The pale quadrant is the one with a pink diamond fur moirallegiance and the ashen is the one with a club that stands fur auspisticism! They're both furry impurrtant quadrants but don't come into this expurrlanation furry much.

The other two quadrants do! They're the two kinds of concupiscent relationships a troll can have, kismesissitude [she taps at the black spade with her pointer] and matespritship [a tap at the red heart].

So what happens is that the imperial drones come to collect genetic material fur the mothergrub, so it's really impurrtant to have a kismesis and matesprit by then! They take it all to her where it all gets mixed up together, and she lays lots and lots of eggs!

And then they hatch into teeny tiny grubs! And that's how you get more trolls!

Of course there's a lot more involved afurterwards with going through the trials and pupating and getting chosen by a lusus but I'll expurrlain all that next time, and all about what the diffurent quadrants mean too.

But see, it's all furry simple really! If anyone needs to ask anything about it anyway I'll try to give them the bestest answer I can!

This week has been weird. Everyone's been really awkward. Even when I talk to the store owners, I end up saying stuff I don't mean.

I tried to kill one of my teammates and he ended up saving my life.

[............ There's a sniff, as if he's going to start crying, and then he clicks off the SFC.]

[Effy hasn't exactly been around, so waking up to find a curse in place was, well, a little strange, because she didn't realize what was happening until it was happening.]

Hey. Haven't really been around lately, yeah? My parents' divorce fucked me up.

[She had first intended to say she was still around. There is a very long pause.]

Is Ron still here? 

[She is stopping the feed before something else slips out of her mouth.]
