[For a moment, all that's seen is a little kitten on the screen. It mewls sadly, soon picked up by a certain silver-haired teen that hasn't said much for a while. Why isn't Tomoe-san in the box? :c]

For anyone who knew Mami Tomoe... she's returned home. [And those who know... know what that means.] She left Aurelio here, and I'd take him in... but I have a few too many pets as it is.

[Seriously, guys. WHY DO YOU KEEP LEAVING HIM YOUR PETS? He has a small petting zoo, here! He sighs, turning off the feed.]

Normally she'd catch his heasitation, but she never had the pleasure of small fluffy cute things in the Organization]

It's also a general rule that small fluffy cute things overrule noticing most other things, he's come to realize.]

... Yeah. One of several. [He's just lucky that they're too young to breed yet.]

[At this point she starts to realize how rude she's being and tones down the squee factor a bit]

Oh, I'm sorry about your friend leaving, too...

[He nods.] Yeah.

[Not really rude; it's a welcomed distraction for a few moments.]

...I'm sorry, too. [Because he has this feeling that... she wouldn't be alive long, if she were at all.]

[She looks genuinely apologetic, even if her eyes still occasionally trail back to the visible housepets. It leaves her wondering just what she'd do if any of her friends left.]

Are you gonna be okay?

[Hey, it's cool. Fluff and pets are a completely acceptable distraction.]

Yeah. I will be. [In time.] I'm more worried for the others who knew her.

[He pauses...] ...Guess I'm just sad I didn't get to say goodbye.

I know the feeling...

[She pauses, letting the sentence trail off while she tries not to think of her own lack of goodbyes. That was another time and another place. This isn't even about her.]

I'm sure she's thinking of you all, wherever she is.

[She won't add the 'if she remembers' that's on the tip of her tongue, either, because that just hits too close to home too.]

[It takes him a moment to respond. On one hand, part of it is because he feels like he should know why she should know and is feeling guilty for two reasons (one he doesn't remember). On the other... just knowing in general what awaited her, that she was gone...]

I hope you're right.

[All of it hits to close to home, and he hates this so much.]

[She is paying enough attention to catch his trepidation this time, but it's easy for her to attribute to his lost friend. She refuses to tell him everything will be alright. It's something she knows from personal experience isn't guaranteed and he'd see right through it anyway.]

I do too. I never knew her, but I do know that memories are the best thing anyone can hold on to.

[That's just a small part of it. Usually his actions always have layered reasons with one central point being the main cause. He's weird like that.]

Right. [He pauses, unable to keep the wry smirk to himself.] Something tells me we know that better than most.

[Whether it's simply because of living here, or another reason entirely...]

[She can't help but give him a small smile as well.] Yeah, I think we do.

[Following that, she seems like she has more that she'd like to say but is debating whether or not to bring it up. The subject of what was remembered and forgotten had been easily sidestepped last time they spoke since she'd needed explanations about the city, but she'd been the one who steered the conversation over to memories. To leave it hanging now could very well be worse later, as she'd come to understand.]

Although... this may seem like a strange question, but I would like to know what gives you that idea.
