Skulls and Candy 001 [Video/Action]

[Shaking the excess water from her hair, the little pink haired girl notices her brand new communication device. Picking it up, she examines the device for a few seconds which includes turning it around and upside down. Once she finishes her little inspection, she smiles rather cheerfully]

Oh, its a communication thingie! It's almost as pretty as the one I have back home. [A pensive look appears on her face before she brings the SFC close and licks it....Making a face, she pouts and lowers the device]

Bleh! It's doesn't taste as nice as mine. [A beat] Oh, it's recording!

Hiii! I'm Yachiru Kusajishi. Why did we have to take a bath when we came into this strange place? I already took a bath this morning! Why are the fishies able to swim really high above us? Oh yeah, has any seen my Ken-chan? He's really big and strong, but gets lost if I'm not with him.

I'm part of the Meifu's EnmaCho Division in charge of the Kyuushuu. It seems that our Shinigami organizations are quite different. [If he remembers well, Tatsumi mentioned something about this.]

[The only words that she understood from that was Kyuushuu and division]

Uhuh, they sound really different and confusing. What does your division do? Our division fights a lot. It's really fun!

Mm... We investigate strange events that sometimes surround people's death. And we bring souls to the Underworld. [Which is not always easy.]

Ummm, I think the ninjas guys and Mayurin investigate stuff, but everybody makes sure that the ghosties go where they're supposed to go. We go to the Living World a lot to make sure Hollows, which are ghosties that go bad, don't eat people or other ghosties. I like that part since we have to fight the Hollows so we can send 'em back.

[Err, okay...] I-I see... [Give him a moment to process all this.]

And you have different divisions ?

Uhuh, we have a lot of different Divisions that do different stuff, I dunno all of them. We got, um, thriteen divisions and Gramps!

[Gramps ? What are Gramps ?]

And you are lieutenant, right ? You're quite young for such a rank.

[Gramps is not so much a thing, but a person. A person who just happens to be the wise old leader of all the shinigami]

Yup, I am. I'm not that little. I'm almost 409 years old.

[A bit like Chief Konoe then. Just a bit.]

Then you are far older than me ! I am only 112.

[Just a bit. Gramps just has a ridiculously long white beard and muscles]

Really? But how come you look older?

[Ah yes. Totally different in fact.]

It's because I was older when I... er... died. [Careful Yachiru, very touchy subject.]

Oh, I guess even you, guys age differently, too. Cuz, it takes a long time for us to get old.

[Well, one thing that she did learn was that it isn't nice to ask how you died. It's both bad manners and hurtful]

Well, we don't age anymore after our death. I'll always look the way I do now.

[That's very good then.]
